clever thief quest

I ran after him to Caemlyn and Tar Valon and he keeps running away, I had him crit a few times. He stole many things from me. I had to rent and I was chasing him at least 40 minutes. Is there any trick on how to kill him? Will he be there if I come back later?

He was closest oto death when I and guards were on him and I kept the gate closing. But he ran away.

Nope no trick. they are ridiculous. I once made like five of them and had to track them all manually. i would have just said it was fine with one but see the last one stole my scalp of nicotine. Eventually i chased mine from fal dara to tar valon. The only suggestion i can make is use long timer high damage weaves when they arent fleeing. if they are buffing you and a mob use quicksand and then the high damage weave. other then that use medium length weaves. and never stop chasing them.

But as long as you get him before boot he should still be there.
