Balancing mobs

Post by Lithium »

As many of you are probably aware, the defense and health of many PK related mobs are way out of balance. A prime example can be seen whenever wolves run into blood covered trollocs north of FD; they end up fighting forever, with neither able to hit the other. A similar phenomenon occurs when a player tries to melee one without bashing. I'm attempting to melee a gray wolf to dead right now, and it will probably still be alive when I'm finished writing this post.

This seems really unbalanced to me. I think mobs that are meant to be utilized in PK should be hittable by any character, and have less health than a character. This would make it possible for someone to actually spend time killing them if they wanted a strategic advantage.

Ive alwayrs believed that. Make solo mobs hurt sorta ob and dmg wise, and let large patties' mobs been not as strong tho. I think you should be able to kill most soldier mobs in about 8-10 hits. The exception being gate mobs and rooms of importance, ie. Easar, Murash, DL, and a few random, moving strong patties in each city.

Wolf mobs, Caemlyn cityguards, Tar Valon cityguards to start with. I don't know trolloc mobs too much, I'll check some when I get a chance

Caemlyn cityguards still have too many hps, too high of a defense, and do too much damage.
