Hard coded wait timer

I logged out of Gerry and tried to make a new character but I think the name was already taken. After that, it said I had to wait 8 more minutes to log in, and then did it again for another 8 minutes.

It's doing it again when I try to create a new player that's name isn't taken....

I believe in a post about the enforced wait times it states that new characters must wait just like anyone else.

No, this was after I waited the three minutes. It made me wait an additional 16 minutes to log onto gerry. I gave up trying to create a new char.

You must wait 7 minutes, 56 seconds before you may log into another character.

What this shows is that if you're trying to create a statter and you use a name that's already in use, it then resets your timer to being 8 minutes.

So if you accidentally type in the wrong name, you can't just hit enter and then try to log on a different character, your stuck with your timer being reset. This also happens when you're trying to make a new character and the name is already taken.

Also, I was posting from my phone earlier and I'm extremely impatient so my posts were pretty incoherent.
