It might be cool to be able to purchase things with your Weave Points. that way, people wouldn't always say WPs are worthless... maybe like there's a dude that will teach people things or give people things for WPs instead of cash, maybe like 500 WPs will buy you another practice session, or 100 WPs will buy you a lightstick that never goes dim, or 1000 WPs might buy you a couple inches or lbs to add or subtract to your BMI or something.. you get the idea...
Then when one of us mysteriously drops off the legend list we can all wonder what he bought!
let's try to stay focused this time. I think we can do a lot of cool things with wps if we just think stuff up.
WPs - an actual discussion ABOUT wps this time
wp's, usually those with alot have everything going for them thus one of the elite, so wtf would we want to give the elite more bonuses? This is like giving someone who is exceptionaly at pk extra pk abilities such as how wot makes pk'ers fades and masters. I realize everyone wants something to shoot for but if you already freaking rock at pk why do you need any extra pk bonuses? If anything get rid of wps and reward those who have the most kills overall but without pk bonuses, maybe retooled eq or housing etc.
wot's biggest downfall is all the stupid bonuses, I've been saying it for 7 years now people are finally beginning to realize I wasnt smoking crack, well not alot anyways

Amen, non pk bonuses only please if going to have anything purchasable in such a way.Nicotine wrote:that actually makes a whole lot of sense. rewards like player houses and non-pk stuff would actually be more pimp than more pk bonuses anyway
I do love the idea of total wps gained though, have been wanting a sort of tp record other than how long someone can stay alive without dying for a long time.
What if instead of temporary wps being visible there were some kind of "value" for a player that determine how many wps you get for a kill from another player(basically how they work now right?). Your wps would be perminant, so death wouldnt really do anything other than lower your value(which is hidden).
just an idea
just an idea
Current wps wouldnt matter that much in the book anyway. Sure, I bet that most of the people on legends will be on total wps list, but it still shows a difference. One shows people who get the most kills, while the other shows people who balance kills and deaths.
In the books your status and affect on the wheel was based on your influence over many lifetimes (deaths in our case), not over one period. For example, Morgase might be queen in Rand's time, but maybe in her past life she was a hooker (owned by Gristlyn). The real shapers of the wheel, however, did countless acts over their many lifetimes. For an example, look at Arthur Hawking: He is bound to the horn not just for almost conquering the known world, but also for his achievements in lifetimes before that. (For proof, see how he speaks of fighting for and against Lews Therin in many lives: The Great Hunt)
So therefore the books back up this arguement. The list as it is does not show the people who have the most affect on the battle between the dark and the light. It shows people who get some kills, but might not work their hardest for their side...Such as not hitting a city but standing outside. Or only hitting a group once someone else is buffing (I believe we all know who that was
)
Finally, I just think this would be a fun addition to the mud. Its not like it can hurt..
