Test mud..2

Post by Chase »

Ok.

While the test mud is good and all, nobody is really taking it that seriously from what I can see. Today it was suggested to me that we should keep the characters from testmud and transfer files to the real mud (whenever it does come up) while this may help some, many of the people from the old mud are not playing this new mud due to it being temporary. I just wanted to say that I hope we start fresh and not start with test mud chars:p

Secondly, I was pondering about how we could make this mud seem more complete. Imms are making eq descriptions because it makes the mud seem more finished. I also think that if we had more mobs in rooms (unlike the many empty rooms we have) then it would seem more complete too. Not just exp mobs, but mobs just to give the mud more activity. Such as random human traveling mobs on Caem road or small animal mobs for "filler" in zones.

Otherwise, I have to say that I really like the changes that have been made, and I want to thank any and all imms who put their time and effort into this mud for no compensation (other than my presence) :P

-btw, I made a new topic bc nobody REALLY goes reads through all the pages on multiple-page posts.

I test and report a whole lot of bugs as we go.

People also play the test mud to learn how they're going to equip up on real mud, where different equip loads and all sorts of different things.
I probably have more characters than anyone, did extensive testing with the different stat layouts and equipment loads.
The point buy system is seeming fairly balanced and effective.

Galnor has been putting in some lower to medium level mobs and equipment to fill the void and things will continue to progress.

Please report any bugs(even minor ones) you find. While they may seem cool and advantageous to you, that's just to your test mud character(it's only a temporary test mud char) and keeping them to yourself is no help to the mud as a whole.
