Intersection Between the Roads
The long road to the south meets up with a four way intersection, three
directions which lead to an extention of the road. The city of Fal Dara and
it's western gates are clearly in view from this point just to the east. The
west leads to a smaller road which looks more like a path than a road, while
the south leads to a road much like here.

Why'd I land first? Is there a difference in timers, or is it a bug?

It has to do with the mud lag. You have one connection while Erica has another. They are the same timers. You may receive something yet receive it too soon, or some such. It's really random when you enter it in at a threshold of a few milliseconds apart, it can show you charging first but enemy landing first, or you landing but enemy starting first. Just watch yourself if you're already low when dealing with this.
