IÔÇÖm going to suggest a revamp of weapon balance and the reasoning for my suggestion is that I feel that the current weapon balance is completely out of whack. What IÔÇÖm going to suggest is a complete overhaul on all the weapon classes except for daggers because I feel that the dagger class is already balanced.
The problem with the weapon balance right now is that there are several weapons that ÔÇ£have it allÔÇØ. This means they have good or great damage, good or great weight, and good or great parrying bonus. These are arguably the most important factors in determining how good a weapon can be. Of course the offensive bonus argument could be brought up but I feel that offensive bonus ties in with the weight because both of these go together on the bashing ability. The problem right now is that we have mahogany lances, the glittering spear, maybe even glittering longsword that all have good damage, pb, and weight. The glittering longsword not so much but it might need to be looked at as well. Currently with these great weapons in circulation it makes abser weapons obsolete. Who wants to get hit every round when they can get almost the same bashing ability and have 170 plus parry b onus?
I propose to add the two out of three system; the two out of three system would completely change the weapon dynamics that we currently have. It would make it so that each weapon will only have two out of the three factors that make a weapon good. This means that a weapon could have weight and parry bonus, or weight and damage, or damage and parry bonus, but never have all three. The weight and parry bonus would work kind of like a bone club on wotmud, as in it can bash dodgers but canÔÇÖt do very good damage with them. IÔÇÖm thinking the weight and damage would work like a typical abser weapon and would give very little parry if any at all. The damage and parry bonus would work kind of like a black tasseled spear on wotmud as in it canÔÇÖt bash dodgers but can bash combers and absers.
This setup would allow for more absers to be more competitive, if you notice there arenÔÇÖt hardly any more absers playing because the mahog lance and itÔÇÖs spear counterpart are simply just plain better than any abser weapon out there. Now IÔÇÖd still be open to the idea to have one unique in the game that has all three characteristics but I donÔÇÖt think there should be more than one in the game with our current low playerbase.
This would also help with the problem of everyone playing bash combers and bash dodgers currently. (I have several alts in this setup as well) Right now absers can get fragged in the waist and shoulders and get hit every round while full dodgers can bash other full dodgers and hardly ever get bashed due to how bash currently works. With the two out of three system this would completely fix the whole waist/shoulders problem with absers because weapons wouldnÔÇÖt ÔÇ£have it allÔÇØ anymore.
IÔÇÖm curious, what do you guys think?

I think current bash/dodge ratio is fine...
when you get top abs weapons they still bash pretty decently unless you have emboirded cloth, then it becomes pretty hard.. but still doable
Think there arnt that many top-abs weapon loads thou,,, not sure thou not a smober
combo weapons should be downed damage/bash wise
nd dull-gray tunic should lose some db

I have gone through and slightly changed pretty much all major weapons in each class and overall tried to eliminate the "weapons having all three determining characteristics" attribute by designating a certain "strongpoint" for each weapon class. As a side note Chase, I don't see how there aren't any abs weapons about because I have seen plenty. Please continue to give feedback if you encounter any issues and whatnot. Thanks.
