I'm toying around with the idea of changing how zones are made and how mobs are distributed. This is of course not a priority, and as immortals and players are coming back this isn't the first thing you'll see implemented.
Here's what I have in mind, and you can tell me if it sounds worthwhile:
In every zone there would be certain dynamic mobs that would change based on different characteristics like strength, dexterity, constitution, anger, track, etc. Over a time period (perhaps every 2 weeks, every month), zone files would reboot and populate differently. Even though a mob would be of the same name, they may be of different strengths, have more/less hps, some would remember fighting you and be aggressive to you, others would feel more like tracking.
I suppose the main question would be if this would increase player enjoyment by having the same zones look differently every 2 weeks or every month, or if there's peace of mind knowing what mobs you can really count on.
Everything is relative, so I should break down the criteria more distinctly, so if you would like this change perhaps you can expand by saying if you want this implementation to be:
1. Not at all
2. Low - Small changes in # of mobs, or in relocation, and low variation of mob characteristics, no effect on essential pk mobs strengths and locations.
3. Medium - # of mobs, characteristics change, no change in pk mob locations.
4. High - Mob locations change, and characteristics variation have a broad range.
All of these changes would be within a balance range, so essential pk patrols would be from weak to strong, not useless to overpowered. However the "weak" may be considered "useless" in certain fights.
Like I said, not a priority, more of a side project to encourage diversity.
