Was discussing stuff with Chase, and we decided that thieves need a combat skill of some sort. This would give thieves an option against defense characters other than fleeing and trying futilely to get them to walk into a stab. So I came up with this idea:
Skill "Precise Strike", acts similarly to Sinister Strike from WoW. Basically we'd give it a timer the same length as bash, and if it lands have it do melee damage + bonus damage, maybe 5 or 10. An alternate version could give it a short timer, maybe 4-5 pulses, but have it cost 5-10 moves. First version is intended as a primary combat skill, second more as a finishing move. Benefits of this skill include allowing thieves to damage defense characters in melee, alleviating the boredom of melee combat, and helping thieves finish off characters with low health.
Thoughts?
