Nocturn
Nocturn, the hammer of the Crimson Moon.
There have been three forms of Nocturn. The first was a one handed club, 20 lbs, wieldable with a shield and gave 240 OB when wielded by a 19 strength trolloc. It had roughly 40 pb on it, which meant that I walked around in full abs, and pulled 200 defense with nasty damage output. The second was a two handed hammer that was 21 pounds, 4d6 damage, 231 ob, and was absolutely disgusting. In those two forms, Nocturn only ever missed about 8 bashes total on PC characters. Both nailed dodgers for about 55 hps per bashed round.
The third incarnation of Nocturn was fairly unintended. I had just received the last of the collosal hammers. The rest had been DT'd, and it was about an hour before the big Fal Dara raid that changed those zones. I asked one of the Immortals if I could wield Nocturn for one last time, and they said they'd retool the hammer into Nocturn. I had assumed that the hammer would revert to it's original form when I rented, but it stayed, and I lost it in pk months after that. Months later I came back, which was about three days ago. Apparently in that time, Smasher has upped it somewhat.
In my experience, Nocturn was the most well known master weapon of the older versions of Kinslayer, mostly because it hurt like hell, and was overpowered and ridiculous. That being said, it floating around as a unique weapon is a fairly justified thing.
