Good ideas gone bad

Just a list of what I consider possibly good ideas that didn't pan out.

1. remorts remaining in their old clan and being dual clanned
This didn't allow other players to step up and try their skill at leading clans and made remort scores spammy i.e.

2. arena, distracted from actual pk, allowed newbies and pussies the opportunity to pk in a 100% safe environment without the fear of losing eq, wps, exp, or qps. It also added to score being longer and spammy i.e.

3. Trades, they theoretically gave us the opportunity to create top end unique items but Koradin made sure we would never actually be able to do so by setting the % chance of creating a perfect piece of eq to like 1% and if we did manage that piece of equipment would deteriorate within 6 months or so, i.e.

<worn on head> a magnificent fur hood (thinning)
<worn on shoulders> a pair of luxurious velvet coverings (thinning)

4. Feat points, wow what a cool idea that ended up with everything costing a million points, not to mention ds fp mob has never retooled equipment, since day one he has been broke. Also feat points made score longer and more spammy i.e.

5. player rented properties, these should of been used as an extension of pk but were scripted to be used as a safe haven for chatters and idlers.

6. the removal of quest mobs, good job guys you removed the coolest incentive there ever was on this mud to play this game solo. I would of made master scalps worth 6 and remorts worth 8 and enjoyed killing the rpers and explorers who happen to master and/or remort off these mobs.

For the first part, I think the remorts needed to stay in their clans. While it wasn't so important for DS, LS needed those characters to stay because of their ability to maintain justice in the various lands. It would have been fairly easy for someone to rank up in say Borderguards and then start a clan war that would warrant another clan and basically kill their chances at pk. But yea, I see what you mean. Maybe the remorts could have a lesser control over the day to day stuff and still maintain control over overarching policy.

Plus I'd have been pretty annoyed for making rank 10 only to have it taken away once I remorted. (Unless someone wants to transfer my useless remort master qps to another alt so I can have two remorts!? Hell I could probably have 3 if you take my 600 qps to get rank 10!)

And speaking of, I'm 31 scalps from double remort, so someone play and I can achieve that. Also, htf do you get troll moves AND get horsies?!

lol I don't chase, I chose to not ride shadows. You guys can change mounts and then whistle for your mount, fades can do fadey stuff and DLs were left with one issuable shadow and human mvs, if they lose their horse they have to hoof it back n or pk on foot with human mvs.

I disagree Chase, Blade Masters remaining in their respected clans tied those clans together but what if Pitch had remorted and Mur Cav was still at war with Caem? The BMs tied the southern nations together tightly in a nonsensical manner.

I think there would be an understanding that they wouldn't fight in BM clanroom, but besides that it's free game. What I meant was that there would be a leadership vacuum if, for instance, Tibs remorted too. Who would run BGs - until he was declanned it probably would have been Robby. Imagine that. And it's similar in most of the LS clans (no offense robby)
