I've noticed that some mobs equipped with upped weapons can break through my defense much more easily than they used to. Weapons that load on a lot of guard mobs, like single-edged broadswords, should be lowered back where they used to be; by upping them, you upped cities a lot.

I think short blade offensive bonus and damage should be looked into.

could heavy silver lance be upped to 14 lbs?
