Every society no mater how large or small need rules and laws to govern their society. How come our rules here are extremely limited, leaving us with more grey areas than solid black and whites?
wouldn't it be beneficial to everyone imm and mortal alike to have a clear and defined set of rules for all to follow?

it's not about lacking in an area it's more about having a set of clear and defined laws so there are not any gray areas. Over the years I have broken unspoken rules and had actions taken against me but I have also experience hidden imm behavior that bordered on total abuse of authority. I would much rather be able to read and memorize what is and isn't allowed than deal with totally gray areas.
A lack of gray areas makes the imms job of administration easier while making a mortals ability of not doing anything outside of the rules easier as well.

bump, I would love an explanation why Obould was removed from dls for breaking a rule which doesn't exist and specifically didn't gain me shit! I have already asked you guys to post a definitive and clear definition of the rules but you refuse to do so.

and it's not hard to tell the reasoning behind the rule, it's so that people can't amass qps other than gaining the qps on their specific character by their own means. that can be easily applied to you shouldn't suicide your alt 50 times and give those scalps to your bff. now, you could be an obnoxious pedant (like myself) and try to hide in the lack of specific language and ask for more concrete rules and phrasings, which would in turn of course allow for less leeway in behavior.
so, i'd suggest for a stickied thread where galnor posts people's offences and their punishments so that this would set up precedents and allow for people to see what is punished and what isn't, while allowing us to still have a mud that doesn't have a lot of overbearing rules.

Not sure how many times I have sent galnor mails about cory's abuse but its more than 10, I have to admit my quitting actually and very sadly gives me a sense of relief, before every time I log on I feel apprehension cause i am worried cory might be on ds or he might be on ls and be waiting to pounce on me with his hatred. It's why I have quit twice for a year each time, I can only stand so much hatred before it starts affecting my real life.
