guaging hps in pk

alot of you don't seem to understand the balance of pk so I am gonna give you a little knowledge.

1. if you are winning in pk don't run to a patty, why would you do this?

2. if you are slightly lower than your opponent go to a single mob or a couple not a gate or city.

3. if you are way lower than an opponent then use a patty and try not to run into a city.

4. if you are outnumbered then run into a city and use any mobs you so choose.

There always has to be a balance to pk in order for everyone to have a good time and have a possibilty to get a kill, if not people wont bother to pk you or will just gank you.

Evilina is completely right, you should try to use a hit point disadvantage to get your opponent to do something that will result in a greater hp loss for them. However, if you run to large patties or gate mobs you force the opponent to find help to root you out.


I often like to use an hp offset to draw the opponent further away from safetey.

Crunch has hit the nail on the head. Great tactic to make sure you keep winning when your opponent is clearly going to lose. Get low and then use the strategy you came up with beforehand to win.

If you can win but you run wounded to patty then either you haven't figured out yet that you can win or you only want to play if you think you will clearly win. In the first case, ignorance is the problem. In the second, attitude.

I'll just comment on what I mean by "attitude" by pointing out that no one wants to play a game where they always lose and feel helpless to change it. They will eventually give up. This is one reason why I would personally advise against trying to loophole your way to whatever goal you have by abusing the balance issue of the week.

However, if you know you're going to die, you can't break your opponents def while they deal out consistent damage its time to high tail it. No point in dying in that situation - only people who don't want to break a sweat killing you will tell you to stay. Evilina's rules are a good guideline to start planning your strategy. Certainly avoid doing #1 unless its an emergency afk.
