Warhorses and regen

Post by Acantha »

I was just able to get from fd to caemlyn in a tic using 1 regen on the new warhorses. This seems a bit much to me :P.

Upping horse regen was a terrible move.

People staying on the same horse instead of horse hopping is horrible. We all want lightside to be able to horse hop wherever they want! Right guys?!

I get it. *click* finally! It's okay and even desirable that humans have the ability to run across nearly the entire map within 2 tics and still have full personal moves, but it's not okay for a trolloc to have similar mobility. Cool. Just making sure I understood you.

Don't forget there's only a few LS who can channel regen on their horses, as Acantha did to get from FD to Caemlyn.

As far as I'm aware all other horses have be downed slightly, riding a white won't get you as far as it might have done.

Even so, humans still have twice (if not more) the mobility of trollocs.

new warhorses regen about 50mvs per tic, and have around 150 total base mvs.

idc if you gave me 5 times the mobility, i suck so bad i die every pk session, even when its 5 ls vs 1 ds.

For the sake of having an informed discussion, they have 160 max moves and regen 40 per tic.

that seems pretty fair, i might suggest lowering the max mvs by 20 but i thnk the regen at 40 would be spot on.

i think the regen weave should only be useable on pcs and remain uncastable on self.

That's a terrible idea. Suddenly the weave is only useful to ds and stabbers. Regen should remain useful, as long as its timer is longer than a stab. Furthermore, using regen to move a group will tap you quickly.

Although horse moves are a bit excessive.

I don't know if this is possible but i think warhorses that are do not have a rider on them should be stabable and chargable. I say this because there are commands like whistle which allow the riders to command the horses to them. I think there should be an incentive to keep on horses or stash them well if the rider dismounts. Warhorses without a rider should be a lot more vulnerable.

A big no to making warhorses easily killed.
