Vials

Post by Lamgwin »

I believe vials currently restore 70% of your moves, this is far too much. It should be downed to something around the order of 20% of your moves. This way it can help someone who is almost in, get in. But not allow for people to not have to worry about moves conservation at all.

If the first idea doesn't work, make there be a limit on how many you can quaff in a 30 minute time frame.

If that idea doesn't work, increase the cost of vials and make the mobs they sell on unkillable.

That's reasonable, as long as there's a limit put on the number of horses humans can ride.

sure, make it one horse per human and then take away keep and hold so darkside doesnt have anywhere to run

Okay, then make it so you can't call a gate with no-quit.

Now horse loads need to be majorly downed across the map. Cut in half, at the least. The only people this change affects is darkside, and it has effectively crippled them. This was a very poorly thought out change.

Lolz, actually having to think when running instead of popping vials and mindlessly spamming is a horrible change!

We were given vials in order to be on par with horse hopping humans, now that that's been taken away, that's a huge shift in balance..

If vials stay this way, they should remove horse loads and make humans buy horses which disappear when that person rents.

The amount of moves you get from the vial hasn't changed.

Weee! lezz down troll mobility, teh trolls can outrun the horse hopping pukes with ease.

Teh fading doesn't make up for extreme horse hopping I think. It's not much better than gating, and can be buggy. There's not always a fade to follow around either!

I agree with teh vial issuage I does not agree wit the current horse hoppage shitage, unlike the motherless corage I tinks we needs a balnace between ls and ds and this starts with vials and ends with horshage hoppage, so an issuable horse with nice mvs and very limited hopping is the solution.

pretty sure quoting yourself doesnt earn you any uber "I is right or suck my golden spot brownie points", but on the bright side , I had a mother.

On a side note whithout ds vials ls should have limitedf horse hoppage skills.

I don't think anyone ever said that they give less moves. By spacing the gained moves out, the vials are less helpful. The time factor comes into play here.

I changed it so the moves are given over 3 ticks instead of 4.

Human mobility was far superior to a trolls even before the change, I don't see why it doesn't get changed back. In this thread there was only one player who wanted vials to be downed. Volgar's first post A: has a condition, and B: it was sarcasm. Same with Heritage's. Since when do things get changed to whatever gets less votes?!?

I think that having my opinion of adding regen over half tics instead of just at tick, completely ignored because one person 'felt like it' was a pretty poor sport move.

I'd be fine with regen on vials as it is, but having to wait TIL the tic, and only getting 23 moves is quite horrendous. Adding the regen to a timer similar to that of boneknit plants or such would improve upon them greatly and make them not so useless as they are right now.

And horses still need to be downed, as well as horse loads. If a human can from from n fd, to baerlon, back to fd and back to baerlon again within 2-3 tics without having any moves issues at all, while EVERY troll hags chasing him even with vials, then it's a serious problem and not something that should be swept under the rug.

at least humans haven't been given new horse loads recently, no wait n blight, stone rd, and ne niamh pass have either been given horse loads or the existing loads were upped, but at least this change was balanced or "it will be balanced as soon as I get to fixing horse loads" which will beimped several months from now!

It's not an issue of humans vs trollocs, it's an issue of burst regeneration being too powerful. The new vials are still very effective, they just aren't a get out of jail free card like the old ones were.

And yes, I'm aware of the imbalances with horses. Something will be done about it in the near future.

Simply because more people think something is the way to go, doesn't make it the logical, or right thing to do. Sorry.
