Skinning Feedback

Post by Koradin »

Skinning is in as of the next reboot, and should be working properly.

Please use this thread to post your feedback or certain mobs that should be loading skins that are not (no doubt I've missed a few).

Keep on the lookout for ways to use the skins you receive. :)

Mountainside Fork
The path takes goes off into two different directions to the east and then to
the north. The north path eventually goes down a steep hill, leaving whatever
is down the path out of sight from this viewpoint. The path to the east shows
only that it takes a steep drop down into a blackened abyss. All that remains
here is a charred wooden sign, no doubt burned from the years of the eternal
shining sun.

he grey in this wolf's fur has not been gained from old age, rather it is his
natural color. His eyes shine with an easily distinguishable golden gleam that
is so bright it could probably seen in the dark.

Would be really cool if rather than skinning a mob for a generic skin we could skin them for one of their respected class and type, then be able to use all of that one type of skin to create an article of clothing named after the animal such as a sickly deer skin tunic.

More rare or exotic animals skins could be used to create top end clothing.

If the article of clothing is created using a variety of animal skins then the name could be more generic and the clothing not as nice.

Well, I thought about doing that. The main problem with that though is that certain animals load in certain areas, so it would not be fair for both races. The system I am laying out for tailoring I think is just as good, if not better, though!

Is there anything to do with the skins?

I am not seeing any difference between mid low level skinning and high as to what skins are skinned off a beast. Seem like 30% -80% gives pretty much the same results as to skin procured.
