A Twist in the Mountain Ridge
The narrow passage shifts abruptly, forcing the path to bend around a
protruding ledge of rough, gray stone. This rock-ledge forces the path to turn
off the mainly west to east course, which is quite level. This leaves only a
narrow depression between the protruding ledge and the southern wall of the
mountain. Passage becomes difficult due to the depth of the depression and the
deep cracks lining it.
