I think aside from the lootable chest, there should be a spot where we can leave 2 backpacks that are unlootable.
The main reason for this would be to be able to keep 2 sets for mercenaries. Because if I leave a backpack with an entire set in my chest and someone loots, its gone. And the point of those packs isnt for players, its for mercenaries so we can smob :/
Clan Rooms
How about do away with battering rams, and then there will be nothing to complain about.
I hate how crossrace can loot clan chests so easily its just retarted. All it does is make you feel like shit when you see all the good gear gone thus making you one pissed off muddafreaka
Then the whole revenge cycle begins yay!

I think what summer pointed out is one of my biggest problems with the whole idea of rams.
If the reason for rams is so people don't store equipment in chests, then that's irrelevant, seeing as how people can just store them on storage characters.
If that's the only/main reason then this addition isn't adding to the game, but subtracting in the form of creating a divisive atmosphere. The killing of people who are afk in their clan room, or people who are just sitting in there and chatting is not a constructive way to promote pk, or even a generally pleasant atmosphere.
It seems to me that rams were poorly thought through, and I would like to see them removed or changed.
My proposal for the change option is simply that they can be used to remove a door(non-clan room doors) for x amount of time. An example being if there is pk and trollocs keep hiding in murash, you could use a ram to remove the door, allowing you to continue pk when you otherwise would not have been able to. This allows for the ability to hit city heads without the all or nothing effect, resulting in more continued pk and less animosity towards the other side.

You know what gets me, the concept of a clan room not being an appropriate place to afk. I afk a lot in my clan rooms, half the time I don't even want to play but I know having one more name on the who list will promote people who log in to stay logged in and might promote pk.
I love the concept of rams just not for clan doors, why not use them for a new smob or gates?

Rams CAN be used on any doors except clan rooms now... we've been over this.Uhl wrote:I like Lamgwin's idea for rams. Being able to hit Agelmar or Murash with the certainity that you are not going to be spammed in the door would most likely give players the incentive needed to take more chances.
Rams being used for clan rooms, however, was/is a terrible idea, in my opinion.
