This isn't anything original or highly creative at all.
What would you players think if on a nearly regular basis we had an Academy on Lightside(could be set up by DS later as well) where we set times for a bunch of players to get together and:
1.Actually see each other for once, some of us never play the same time, etc
2.Learn zones-choke names etc
3.Learn pk and such
4.Learn typical necessities of pk
5.Have quests
6.Do practice pk(skirmishes, etc)
7.Even have courses to take, such and such graduated in the Art of Blocking, etc.
8.Medal/award system, resultant in possible eq, or pure honors
Naturally a long long list of things to do, particpate in, and enjoy our time together and emrace the atmosphere of kinslayer.
Also, the coolest thing about kinslayer's small playerbase, is that the "lessons" will not be generalized, but could be changed to be specific for individual requests, and other such items that players would like to learn/experience.
I would like to see the other players(who actually use forums) thoughts on a system or foundation of such an academy, and I strongly think it'd be fun and add some stuff to do.
To all you players who don't want it strictly limited to pk pk pk pk, we can do many many many other things than pk, we could even have an entire school for different arts and all the things possible.
****-----And. I really think the BEST way to get as many players as possible to particpate in such events would be if we could receive IMM backing, and have IMM possibly please insert a "message" upon players reentering the mud.

***The Shienaran Academy will be hosted Tuesday, Dec 27, 8 PM EST Come and join the fun as we learn to delve and embrace Kinslayermud!
Shrug, nothing original/creative, just a willingness of the players of kinslayer to get together, and this could be absoultely glorious for newer players, and could be fun for older. The idea is to result in enjoyability and satisfaction for players.
*naturally this could get shot down the drain if several players decide to hop on ds and ruin it(with a severe overture of ds players), but we can hope players have enough respect to allow a few sessions in the beginning to be allowed.
