You should check out how the raids are affecting the dynamics of the world, today I found keep and hold devoid of ds mobs, hold was filled with AS, s of keep with aiel, fm with seanchans, east of tv with dreadguards and darkhounds. lots of fun stuff.

Not very realistic, Chase, but I'll think about it... I think I came up with an idea today that could solve extra mobs just hanging out.

Yea really anything, just think its kinda crazy how many mobs are spread around. I was going down tv road to FM and saw dreadguard, trolloc, and other mobs all around. Potential downers for pk. :P

I've added in a small change that will help keep random mob numbers down after the raid leader dies... more feedback is appreciated!

What?!?

Cant get out of clanrooms when clanmobs are dead. :P Same for getting masters. Also, roads are becoming patties for sides after long raids. The other day gap was one giant tower patty all down it. FM and FM to tv road is full of dreadguards. It still needs looking into imo.

^ Same thing in WT late last week - logged on, got attacked by some mob only to find out that the AS who is normally there wasnt, her corpse was not there either so I assume that this mob was there for a while. Interesting enough there was a still Novice wondering around in there. I could get out but I could not rent there.

I think that this is a good idea - it's crazy the number of mobs left in random places, almost all over the place. Or even if the head does not die as soon as a new Raid starts all the mobs from the last Raid should 'poof' once a new Raid starts.

Don't get me wrong - I love the idea of Raids, gives ppl something else to do besides PK, adds another element to the game, and kudos for doing it, I for one totally think this fun and I appreciated it but the number of mobs left after raids at times is not so fun. imo. Not sure what you've been working on Koradin, so if I've missed something I do apologize!

An alternative might be to have the affected cities spawn a powerful patrol after the head raid mob dies. This patrol can then hunt down and kill whatever mobs are still standing.

As for the clan heads being killed, I'll see about making that less of a problem over the next week or so.

Galnor is a jerk.

All followers of a leader raider will now "head back to camp" once the leader dies. The only exception to this is if the leader dies to emote damage (for example, those stupid Aes Sedai in TV)... I'll fix that in a bit.

Cheers.

I was fighting Mirage today. She started in Lugard, more or less. I would clear out all of her mobs in the city, and by the time I circled back around there would be twice as many in the other half. She killed the king with no problem.

I followed her towards Caemlyn, and she left mobs (I'd say about 3) in almost every room. I got to Caemlyn, hit her at the gate with the gate patty, and I exploded. I would circle the city killing her mobs, and by the time I got around there would be even more.

Lugard popped while she was still in there, and she still ripped it apart. Caemlyn also popped while she was still in there, and she ripped it apart.

This whole time I was with the two merc mobs in full abs. If I would manage to kill one of Mirage's channelers, she would have more than she had when I killed the last one by the time I was ready to hit her again.

She fireballs to scratched. In fact, I tapped myself out fireballing her, and I am pretty sure I got her to hurt, but she didn't go wounded.

One of her dreadguard or channeler mobs can kill at least two caemlyn guards. Almost all of her mobs channel (fireballs, daze, chill, cripple, air scythe, etc).

Mirage has a unique weave: own (channel 'own' xxx). It's effect is to own you.

1) Perhaps the sheer number of mobs should be examined. Create mobs slower, and cap the number.

2) Perhaps a mob raid shouldn't create dozens of channeling mobs. She would have smashed TV.

3) Perhaps the rate at which a mob raid SMOB replaces it's personal mobs (the ones immediately with it) should be downed.

4) Tapped out on fireballs from healthy to hurt is a bit much. That's got to be ~400 dmg, and even if it ticced it's unreal.

If I had the merc mobs, 3 other pcs, and Agelmar, then I think I might be able to win.

Mirage is one of the hardest raids, you are quite correct there. But would you rather have all of the raids be the same difficulty so that when there comes a time when there are a few PCs fighting them they go down so fast it's not even fun?

If you were solo, I would HOPE that you couldn't kill her. Not many can kill any of the raids solo (except maybe Uno or Turak if they're in a more difficult city).

You guys have to understand that each city on the mud is a little different as far as difficulty (for example, Lugard and Baerlon are a little easier to kill than FD or TV), and each raid is a little different as far as difficulty (Cuarn or Mirage are a bit harder than Uno or Turak).

I respect your comments and will keep adjusting according to player feedback, but I ask that you take my comments into consideration too.

Thanks!

My concern is that it wold have taken at least five people to stand a chance against Mirage. And even then I doubt we would win. She creates mobs too fast, and they almost all channel. Give me seven people, the two merc mobs, and a large patty before I try her again.

At least make her stop after one city. She makes the roads a continuous dark patty.
