I'm going to do some extensive testing whenever the mud comes back up, I don't think Galnor would appreciate us giving away fofy information, so rather than posting the results I propose getting a group of players together to help test theories and combine end results.
current things I'd like to test,
bmi - have been testing this one recently
abs overall affect-
curious if doriens theories hold true to this mud as well, such as % abs of equipment not actually used to combine overall abs % but rather only for that body part, I also have written up a little script to count the average number of times a body part is hit. This knowledge would help alot for those combo users out there.
If you guys can think of any other credible theories that you might like to research just post your ideas here, just don't post your findings without Galnors approval first, I don't want this thread deleted 8)
thanks
Testing Thread
One of the joys of mudding for me is obtaining data through testing, trial, and error. I hope everyone is obtaining their data legitimately otherwise that would detract from the fun of speculation, wotmud has been around since 94? and players are still guessing and creating theories as to how certain coding works, closed mouth coders are a pbase best friend.
I find the system of getting hit is similar to wotmuds(heh) naturally.
My noticed order of highest % hits to certain parts of body are:
Body, legs, arms, head...then lower % for the others.
This is from rough observation, but it's what I've seen occur the most. Waist hits really stand out, b/c they are typically frags or very hard hits
GL testing, be glad to test some stuff with you, i've been messing around or did mess around with the affect of str/dex on pracs, along with the affect of int.
Int isn't so great, unless you get 17+ int, similar to str/dex.
