Another cheap shot by Cannibal.
another cheap shot by zenrin.
How is that a cheap shot?
i agree with cannibal except one thing. channelers should HAVE to do the use the point one.
I don't even want to think about channies and using a hybrid system.
Krist wrote:I think Cannibal's idea is really great about being able to choose wether you want to random stat or choose your stat's with limited stat points. I love this idea caus I was one of the guys who stated till he got nice stat's(Krist was 17 18 19 17 17 fc before she was deleted :( ). I think this idea is very doable and would not be all that hard to balance.
I like beating an idea to death just to get all the possible kinks out of it(unfortunately some people can't handle being disagreed with). Like I said, the idea could work, I just don't think it's necessary.
And every one stop flaming each other! lol it's just a game and this is supposed to be a constructive forum not one just to argue over reatarded minute details in people's posts :)
The only person flaming here is Cannibal, and I've already commented on it so I'm not going to say anything else about it unless he does it again, which I hope he doesn't.

I have 137 max pracs at lvl 50.

I can't remember, but I think I had those before practices were added.

Anyone else lvl 50 please tell me max pracs, or something. Heck for all I know I could just have a terrible memory(which is true) and probably used to have 117 pracs.

Though I did try to change my prac setup, and I'm worse off now than I was before the reset when attempting to go stab :P

Instead of 86% in everything with 92% shield parry/dodge(48% ride, 32% track, 86% notice)

I now have 85% in everything(evrything) with 38% ride, 32% track, and 85% notice :P

Heh. Yikes!

Ok, I went back to my old setup, as I can't do anything other than dodge(not even shield and bash with weapon :P

The numbers to the right are my old pracs before the new system, the natural one is the current system:

(137 pracs, lvl 50, 16 12 12 17 20 ranger)
prac
You have no practice sessions remaining.
You know of the following skills:
Bash (99%), (superb)----------------- (99)
Kick (84%), (very good)---------------(86)
Long Blades (99%), (superb)----------------(99)
New Tongue (100%), (superb)
Notice (90%), (Level 7)-------------------(86)
Ride (85%), (Level 7)-------------------(86)
Search (84%), (Level 7)------------------(86)
Survival (79%), (Level 6)------------------(89)
Track (86%), (Level 7)-------------------(86)
-----------------------------------------------------(Cover tracks 86)

If the 20 pracs are added, I am still somewhat less able to prac as many things to such high % as the old system(because my stats are 16 12 12 17 20, none being relatively high, cept con which I haven't seen to affect much)

Shrug, hope this example helps out in what changed :P.

Upon selection, human ranger stats start with 10 12 12 10 10.

So i added 6 to str, 7 to dex, and 10 to con, resulting in consumption of 360 points.

My testing on the importance in intelligence resulted in me still putting all stats towards physical, as they affect practice % more, and I'd like the higher hps.

Of course, unless I had 19 int with absolutely absurd physical stats. :P

I'm guessing you chose to add 1 int, costing you 15 pts, leaving 5 excess points, which could have been directed to gettin 20 con or 1 more phys stat.

Also, I've found 10 int is the same as 12 int and the same upwards to 13 int, it starts changing 14int+, so there's no point in wasting points on int at this point imo. *edit, correction, 10 int might be 1% less than 11 int, but it doesn't add up to much still in my opinion :)

Also talked to a LS thief, and he told me his pracs:

Lvl 38, 93% all stab pracs(sparry too), 40%ish ride, 32% track and 32% survival with 86% notice.

Me lvl 50 stab pracs were: 85% all stab pracs(sparry too), 22% track, 11% survival, 86% notice, 38% ride, with 5 pracs left over(i didn't spend b/c i gave up :P)

So, if there are any thieves out there, could you please enlighten me/us if your pracs have been more beneficial since the change, or worse?

Thanks.

And I think possibly changing ride back to ranger pracs might help, or the addition of more pracs if this is what we are headed for.

I'm pretty much biased to my only ranger pracs, as I forgot to memorize my warrior/thief pracs before the change :(

So if this does benefit some classes who do get the high str/dex(20) then this is a good change :)

maybe you guys should just invest some stat points in INT instead? nico has high int and has no problem with pracs :)

.......

I'd need 17+ int, that'd completely murder my phys stats, giving me a pimp 15 16 15.

If that's what you suggest :)(making my pracs at war/thief even worse :))

Also, nico if you noticed :P, 20 dex affects rogue pracs tremendously(18%+ or something, can't remember), thus giving you amazing practices at the rogue prac.

While with low str(as I'm guessing you sacrificed that), you have shittier pracs at war prac, but being as you only need to practice shield parry, that's not so bad :)

And then ranger pracs just plain suck :)

Phys stats affect practices hugely, str/dex at least.
