Dodge is better then abs.

I. Dodge pros and cons

Cons
1.If you get bashed, you get hurt.

Pros
1.If your in a good set, which isnt hard to get if you smob, or, if your a human and spam people inside the Tower, you'll only be able to be bashed by three weapons. The dark axe, the massive club, and the ash club, which makes a grand total of 6 weapons in play.

2. If your an sblade user, you do more damage to an opponent then an actual basher does.

3. You only get hurt a lot if there are other sblade users on you, or someone wielding a dark axe or a massive club.

4. You get virtually no flee lag, so can spam flee away from any bashers you desire for the first 15 flees, no problem.

II Abs.

Pros.

1. You can bash people, which can cause them to rip

Cons.

1. You take constant damage, which shouldnt mean much, but does because, even in an upper end abs set, you still only absorb 45-55 percent of the damage being dealt to you, which means sbladers rip you apart.

2. The weapons thats should be doing the most damage in a fight have piss poor damage, even with 21 strength, which makes you damn near obsolete if you dont possess one of three bashing weapons.

3. If you cant bash your opponent, and you can't hit them, you can't win the fight.

4. If you do bash your opponent, chances are, you might not hit them, even if you do have one of the three bashing weapons.


So, after weighing both situations.. I've decided three things need to happen.

First off, shortblade damage needs to be lowered.
Bashing weapons need to be upped in damage, or, if there are better damage weapons, these need to be in play. Im tired of bashing a dodger and hitting him very hard because my weapon is a turd on a stick.
Either that, or stats need to be changed so that Strength is fair. Meaning that the 15 str dodger shouldnt do more damage then the 21 str abser.

What I'm asking for is not unreasonable, and if you argue that things will pan out later in the game if left alone, your wrong, because it will get worse. Everyone has seen the set Dreadlord is wearing.. its only a matter of time before someone acquires something like it. Darcon has something very close to being unbashable.. I landed 12/29 bashes on him with the heaviest weapon in game, and in those 12 bashes, he went down to only beat, because either I didnt hit him, or the damage sucked.

That is why I'm not playing abs. But if you take a look at my pracs, I have pretty damn pathetic % in all skills. I have 32% ride so I fail all the time(again) and 1 line of track.



But still dodge ins't that great, you and korvin just beat the shit out of me.

All setups suck right now, they all really do. And I have always asked the imms to please make so good god damn dmg weapons(sucky bash can help balance, or bad ob, but comon now..)

Even shimm axe back in old days was only great until they downed it to a shitty weapon.

Your 100% right, abs weapons are shit. But the only thing I have an edge over you is that I have a very nice dagger(few in game) so I get the attack dmg.

Other than that, I'm as worthless as you are. Bashing weapons need to be looked at. Balanced btw ob/weight/dmg naturally(old mud all weapons were heavy with heavy dmg and high ob(Soo stupid..))

I agree with you Osis.. Sblades are doing a bit too much damage at the moment.. However they do stab for crap damage, especially against you monsters with 420-450 hps.. I would need about 3 stabs on you to get you fairly injured.. So I say, decrease sblade melee damage, but increase the stab damage on them.

i just think there are no proper bashing weapons in game, ive seen better weapons loading on doon- double bladed cutlass etc, well atleast i think there better....

just up the full ABS percent to like 70ish i think that should od the job.

btw that club is only 14.5 lbs or something

But dodge should be superior to everything else... to be a good dodger you need some nice damn stats, which you can only get at the exchange for hp or str. But the best dodge should be the hardest to get...

dunno i think maybe if you make str more important those dodgers who have things like 13 20 17 stats or whatever they have will have some more maluses.

bro, 12/29 is 41% land rate. a dodger cannot play effectively if they are bashed over 50% of the time...
