I've killed osis solo when he and 4 others try to kill me, have also died to osis and 4 or so others many times, some you lose, some you win, fought growler as a dreadlord solo many many times, can't say I won all that much him having his sickly overpowered master weapon, happened plenty enough though.
For a long time it was just stupid fighting multiple dark side stabbers since they would do zero else other than fleestab.(it was extremely broken and easy) A lot of people have played like complete pansies at times, wow, big deal.

I havent died all that much, but then again, i havent gotten to play all that much. And even now, I probably wont play at all since the newest wipe. I know it would be fun to come back and check out all the cool new changes, but I seriously dont have the time to do it. But one day I will have the time. Its fun watching us all bitch at whose better then who. But I seriously dont count stabbers as good, because even though they get on legends, its used to just be to damn easy to do it. Heh when I first started here the first person I killed was bollesedun with stab. Now thats funny. And yeah, I did it spamming back human, until he let his timer run and I got him. The muds changed alot, and so has the people, but Otoan, dont go proclaiming your some badass pk'er better then most DS'ers. If you want to say that, go kill groups of trollocs solo. In their cities. Kinslayer isn't a game thats challenging in groups. The best fights are those that are not fair, but true skill is when you manage to pull off some badass kills when outnumbered. And im not talking outnumbered by 1 or 2. I am talking killed 4 or 5 when your solo. And no im not bragging, im just saying thats badass, thats when you rock. Not when you can spam back to fd or keep faster then your enemy. Or stay alive for weeks on end. Im not degrading anyone, or calling out your skill or lack thereof, im just pointing the difference in what is truly great, and what some consider great. I would rather see a solo abser destroy 4 stabbers then watch a group fight. Its much more exciting watching the stacked odds, and the winner the one that the odds were against.

Wait.. hold on. The first time was involving a spam door and a channie. The second time was involving 3 on 4 pk, although two of my three didnt do jack crap cuz it was really one person multiplaying and you had a channeler, and the third time was 2 on 5, and again there were channelers involved.

God this thread just wont stop. I have gotten tired of people posting and saying how overpowered that they feel channies are. I totally agree. Instead of whining on forums though, why dont you do something about it. The fact that 90% of DS is stabber is one major flaw. What do you think a ticklestick is gonna do against her? Yea you might stab her when you catch her not on her guard, but theres only a few true stabbers on DS that go to find a stab, not just hide, back human, and hope it lands EVERY single minute of pk. I have a solution: bashers. I can count the number of DS bashers on my hands.
If DS would learn that not everyone can pull off the sneak attack of stab, then pk would turn back to the fun it used to be. A basher can kill a channie, and two can easily kill one. Pk wouldn't be so "spam flee" like it is at the moment. I hope that as soon as pfile wipe occurs, people will give up their old ways of "hide, back human, flee" every minute during pk and play the basis of pk: bash.

About the stabber/basher ratio, certainly, and also that not everyone can pull it off [playing a stabber].
Personally, if there's a pfile wipe, I'm going to go back to stabbing, mostly because it's fun and I can't stand playing abs bashers on Kin, for some reason.
It takes practice and experience to play a stabber right, and I'm still learning, although I'd like to think that I'm decent.
Also, a key element of playing a stabber is knowing when to melee. Believe it or not, the sole purpose of thieves is not to stab.
On the other hand, there are a few thieves on LS that do nothing but melee, and that pisses me off. They're too afraid to stab, so they stay mounted and spam their heads off.
So, it's all about keeping things balanced, and learning from your experiences.
And for fuck's sake. The players of Trin and Vodka just need to chill the fuck out, at least on forums. You two seem to have some big problem with eachother. Granted I'm not a big fan of the player of Trin, mostly because of his attitude towards the game and other players in general.
But besides that, you two are like fucking junkyard dogs, all the posts nowadays are you two going at it.

Trin isn't as good as he thinks, but he is good.
Vodka doesn't take any risks... it's true, everyone's seen it, yes, even me. Taking risks is the best part of PK, because you don't know whether it'll pay off, or end you up in the CoD.
Not dying does not give you bragging rights if you don't put yourself in a position where you'd die.
I won't even touch the issue of Vodka's connects/disconnects in PK, except to say that he does have a bad link. I can say this because I see him connect/reconnect on AIM all the time, and on the MUD, not during PK.
Everyone just needs to chill out, take a step back, and realize that it's just a game. Don't get so worked up about it. Yes, it's something that takes a lot of our time, but that's by choice... so try to enjoy that time, instead of wasting it by being angry.

It's true. I've played at his house. While his connection is fast...it disconnects constantly. Not fun to play on. :/ This is why Vodka sucks so much, of course.Phantasm wrote:
