Instead of having a total pfile wipe, why don't we just wipe all player's qps, wps, and clans clean. I personally don't feel like statting and exping my characters over again. Just wipe everything but exp and stats and I wouldnt mind. Just a thought.
Yea but then whats the point of starting the clans over fresh? Then everyone would just reclan and go straight back to the old clanlists. Im just saying that on the old mud people could get 50ish qps a day easily. That makes clanning and master way too easy. The whole point of this change was to make the mud more exciting, yet difficult and challenging.
That sounds cool. Go back to 3 qps a scalp, wipe wps/tps/etc.
But keep the stats and chars.
I'd love that, hell we could have special "days" where scalps are 5 qps.
But GROWLER. Dude. You know this is so beta, Tulon can pull the fuckin plug anytime.
That pissed me off, but I got over it, and realized..well hell.

If its a clean slate Im walking away...I lost master JUST as I got it the first time..Didnt even get to enjoy it...just got the qps enough to get the quest and poof gone, then I come back raise up through al'ghol get torn outta there and sat declanned for a bit. And finally get clanned Ko'bal just to be reset again? Not to mention all the other chars i have...
Time spent statting, exping, equipping, pking, ranking, etc etc? yeah dont wanna lose that again..Ill just got rot on wotmud..=p

I sincerely hope everything gets wiped. If not then I don't see how this mud could progress at all. It's always been the same old story of cheating and abuse in the past but hopefully with a clean slate and some good coding, gaining things on kinslayer might finally get some meaning. And to all you who think this is easy for me to say then you're wrong! I've lost master qps on old kinslayer as well as a perfectly stated rank 5 aes sedai here.
Wipe it all!
Wipe it all!
Oh come on. Old kinslayer Master qp's were easy to get. With all the recent changes it's harder and harder to get master. Especially since back in the day Crossroads was alot less time then it is now. Meaning in the space of an hour you could kill the same person more times, and his friends as well, meaning you could master faster. I for one dont have alot of qp's atm, but I still dont really feel like losing the ones that I did get. Especially after I already lost master 1 time, and rank 6 qp's on my human. When a game starts becoming a timesink, aka wotmud, people start getting bored. And by timesink I mean that you constantly dump time into the game, but for whatever reason you get nothing in return, gamewise. 2 qp a scalp is very low. thats 500 humans to master? or is it 750 humans now? If you only had time to kill 1 human a day on a trolloc, it would take over a year to master.

Canni and Raedin both make perfect sense.
The new setup was stupid getting qps, and took forever. Supposedly to make it harder to master I think, when...it just makes it take longer.
I understand what your saying cannibal, but, when it all comes down to it, once you master, and then get to fade, there's not much to do other than....just pk.
So, naturally, it matters not what happens, we'll all hopefully still be here to have fun.
I don't get this stuff I hear about "working hard to get qps". Sure I used to think that, but then I realized it's a joke. It's too damn easy. But with the 10 min wait or wtf it is and 2 qps a scalp, it sorda became "hard work" but nonetheless just work.
So all in all, it doesn't really matter, although I do sympathize with people who keep losing qps/"hard work" as I'm bloody sure we all have, I do realize that this is just a game.
To me hard work would be going on a killing streak and not dying whilst taking risks but being close as hell to ripping many times. And that's not even hardwork, that's just skill + some luck occasionally.
I love to pk and the likes, and my main aspiration for kinslayer is to fade, and....I'll get there one way or the other
Other than that, it's to have fun, and...naturally, having fun comes first.
So either way, it doesn't bloody matter!

I dunno..Ive killed TONS of people and Im Not near master atm..but refuse to start over again...The whole thing that canni said about a time sinkhole or whatever... I dont wanna spend more time on here if theres yet another possibility of us losing it..Id rather go play tetris for the gameboy in that instance..
Tetris kicks ass. 8)
However, I'm of two minds on the subject of everyone starting over from square one...
Pros:
1. It puts everyone on equal footing for QPs and WPs, for those who weren't around when scalps were worth more than 2 QPs each.
2. Everyone will be statted using the same system. Frankly, the old way of statting was much easier (calculating base hps and mvs pre-stat), so most of us older characters have a leg up on the newer ones. Old channies also have a hefty advantage over the newer ones.
3. Everyone will start off at the same level.
Cons:
1. All those folks who have collected craploads of QPs will have squandered their hours and hours of playtime, and have to go through all that "work" to regain their status. With only 2 QPs per scalp, it is indeed work. Perhaps upping the QPs per scalp might alleviate some of this problem.
2. Everyone will be having to stat new characters. It's been established that everyone hates statting, and in all honesty, how many deer are there going to be? Enough to accomodate 3+ statters per side at once?
3. Anyone here remember the good old days when trees gave like 5x the exp they do now? Taking so long to level is one of the biggest things I hated about "that other place". Maybe up the exp a bit on trees, bears, and worms, in order to keep the game interesting? Endless exping = time sink, which is what we want to avoid.

1. The QP being worth more than 2 was back in old kinslayer, and doesn't affect anyone here.
2. I agree with the channies part, but the hp/mv part is basically just for the super staters of you. When I stated Growler I just took the first guy that had some normal dex/con.
3. I don't see why this is so good. We already did start out at the same level... right around the end of last year(new kinslayer coming up), and again a year before that (the old pfile whipe), and again a year before that (begining of kinslayer).
