smashed in except for one, which seems sturdy and in good condition. A small
fire place is filled with ashes and dark bones, some of which seem broken in
half or splintered on the ends. The rest of the room is filled with pieces of
broken furniture and other foul rubbish.

furniture as well as a gilded mantle hanging over the fire place. Now, any
decorations have either been carried off or destroyed, and the mantle has been
smashed into several sections, most of which have fallen into the dirty fire
place. Only one small coffer remains unspoiled.

Climbing the Tower
The first chamber of the south-western guard tower is almost entirely black,
like a massive chimney. Soot covers all of the walls and a thick layer of dark
ash covers the floor. There is a winding staircase snaking up the inside of
the walls, also covered by ash. The tower must have been set afire, everything
in it burning and leaving not a trace, except for the ash. The stone itself
did not burn, and the steps seem to offer good footing. At the top of the
stairs sits a dull iron door.

smashed in except for one, which seems sturdy and in good condition. A small

half or splintered on the ends. The rest of the room is filled with pieces of
broken furniture and other foul rubbish.
