"do not give locations of others"

You're shit out of luck mate. Doesn't say anything about telling them who is online or who scumbags have logged over to so they can try and scum a kill.

Is said player on or off a mud is a location.

But, to the greater point about this is that allowing someone on the same side as you to global when you are on or off is a counter productive way to handle things. If Nicotine, Phantasm, Bollesedun, or one of the many thieves on the game had to worry about being outed by their own side every time they log on then that would perhaps result in them playing less. If someone like Mhaliah is outed every time he is on then people will know to check smobs and thus will have easy information to disrupt his style of play. I do not believe this was the intent, a feature, nor the reason that globals were added and it leaves itself open to too much abuse.

*peers suspiciously toward Harry*

Who is Harry and how does he know me and my style of play so well....

I have to say I agree. I try to keep that I am online out of globals until a cross race char has either seen me or is asking for help in a way that I can actually assist.

Yea if I see this kind of stuff happening often I'll start warranting for it- reason being helping DS. Giving away locations. Even saying names isn't cool. If they're asking for pk just say whether anyone is in or not

Yes,

Please do not give any information regarding which players are logged in to your side or regarding their location over globals or to any player(s) of another race at any time. That is what we wanted to avoid when creating the channel.

Obviously nobody is perfect and mistakes will be made, but intentionally outing players on your side is not cool. If we see people abusing this channel, we will unfortunately have to remove their access to it. And nobody wants that!!!
