Lolz, I'm too lazy to go protest and what not but I'm glad to see it happening. Disparity between the economic classes hasn't been this high since before the great depression, that's not good for a healthy economy because people don't have enough income to buy enough shit to provide enough jobs.

But do you care that it is mainly disgruntled college kids who don't want to pay off their student loans? And really there has been an outlash against it by groups representing working class citizens?
I do think this mission statement is telling:

Have the government seize the banking sector, seize private (corporate) property, and run them? One- totally against the Constitution's taking clause. Two- would completely ruin our economy.

Really? This is what you're going to try to do? Really?
I've heard things such as getting money out of politics, in the from of campaign refinance reform, I've heard things such as having corporations that make billions in profit to pay the same tax level as middle class people, I've heard people talk about how the banks shouldn't be bailed out, etc etc. Keep ignoring legitimate problems and issues and try to turn the argument into the dumbest shit you can think up.
Simple facts:
1. In the last 30 years income hasn't risen, either cost of living or inflation has been at the same levels or exceeded it.
2. The disparity between what the mega rich make and what the average person makes hasn't been this great since the 1920s.
3. Corporations and rich people control the political process because TV ads win campaigns and they are paid for by the big pockets of corporations and millionaires/billionaires.
4. People are actually wanting to participate in a democracy instead of having the rich with concentrated power.
5. I hate arguments like this because people like yourself can't get over political labels and think what you want to think based off of the cover of a book.

No actually I have studied exactly what Occupy Wall Street proposes. It just won't work. I like that it brings attention to the problem, but those things I mentioned above will only make our economy more stagnate than it already is. There is a problem. However acting like nationalization of private property will fix the problem is wrong. I'm not saying so because 1) it goes against the very nature of the Constitution, but because 2) the government can't run itself efficiently- how will it manage other sectors of the economy?
I wasn't blasting them- I was more asking your opinions if you truely believe nationalization of the banks will work.

I'm saying the majority of the shit I'm hearing from these people has jack-shit to do with any type of nationalization of anything. It has to do with fixing tax loop holes, and making sure that the mega rich pay like 3% more in taxes, and getting big money out of the political process. That's why I'm all like, really? You went with that? Because I hadn't even heard anyone say nationalization shit. And it's possible a few people have, but I hadn't heard it until you brought it up.
Perhaps what we're getting confused on is I know that some people would rather just have the government do the loans to students instead of banks, the reasoning being that the government guarantees students loans to the banks, so even if the student somehow doesn't pay them, by moving to another country, the government pays the bank. Banks making profits off of the like 3-6% interest rate on these no-risk loans which is a bit crazy because it's guaranteed by the government, but that's the only thing resembling anything even close to nationalization of banks that I've heard.
