Remove it, its stupid.
It effectively allows humans to increase their movement range with little malus.

Also, down the db and hps on horses.

The distance the horse moves when you whistle for it keep it from being very useful. Whistle isn't very useful in a pk situation unless you need a little extra ob.

Yea, and while you are at it lets cut trolloc mvs in half. Or atleast not let them regen unless they are in the blight. Until you try a tall horse or a grey then you really shouldn't post this.

Without warhorse humans are fairly worthless.

When you whistle the horse has to move, useing its moves so there is no telling if it will be hag by the time it getts to you (if it even gets there)
I agree with lowering the db/ob of horses, you should be able to kill horses easily as a trolloc....
Also, bring back refresh on horses!!!!

If you dismount to chase a trolloc, you should suffer the consequences of hagging yourself. That's the bottom line. Whistle is just a cheap bail out for people that can't manage moves.

I've played my DG almost exclusively recently, and I am amazed you can even say that. LS hardly comes north as it is, how do you expect them to do it when the can't even have moves to chase? Do this and all pk will be south of Gap unless LS has huge numbers. I can't count how many times I have run in GK to pk a troll and suddenly 3 hit me. Atleast now I have some mv reserves if I have dropped my horse near top of Gap.
Phantasm and I fought 3-4 LSers consistently for about 3 hours last week and we countinued to pick them off/have to wait on their horses to regen. Its not like its that big of a deal. Plus DGs can regen trollocs. Remove the whole regen weave if your going to do this.
LS mobility has been cut down. GOOD. But when I see people who commonly play DS get on LS, they often say how surprised they are with human mobility. Whistle is one of the few perks.
And sure, make horses not super strong. I agree with that!

I would much rather have the trollocs kill my horse then have to whistle it back down from Keep. My horse went on strike for an hour the other day.

Also if you ARE going to frag whistle. at least bring back the ability to weave regen on horses!

Give trollocs a burst move mechanic similar to humans dismounting. Make it apply a 30 min flag so you can't use it till that 30 mins is up.
Burst gives trollocs 120mvs but costs them 60hp. This can be spread out over 2 tics i.e inital burst gives 60 mvs, then next tic you get 40mvs (regular) + 60 for a total of 100 on tic. This mechanic would be similar to a human dismounting and running.
just to preempt any whining i know will follow this post.
Humans have horse loads in strategic points all over the map. These horses grant about 100 extra moves and are very strategically located (for instance: gap camp, blight camp, between fd and fm, between fm and tv). With whistle and these horse loads no human should ever die due to lack of moves. Conversely trollocs have no real way of obtaining any 'free' move bursts without carrying a vial, which, you can't buy anymore (as far as i know) or i would be carrying one on every alt.
As a little anecdote, i died to madison outside FM after running from tv because i ran out of moves and she could just whislte, and when her horse hagged dism and chase me around, whistle agian ect ect. After about 12 tics of trying to escape, i died. Had i been on any human alt and run from blight, i would have had blight patty horse load and gap horse load to keep me going on top of my regular moves. those two horseloads (+100 mvs each for an additional 200 mvs) would put me far ahead of any chasing trolloc.
Sorry, When you crunch the numbers trollocs just dont stack up. (pun intended)
Better yet, lets just remove the concept of moves. /sarcasm
Ideally i'd like to see both sides, have LESS mobility and actually have moves be a factor in pk (well they are but only for trollocs).
Implement the above noted idea in addition to this (if possible):
Trolloc move regen is at 100 mvs per tic WITHOUT no quit
Trolloc move regen is lowered to 30 moves per tic WITH no quit
Warhorse Move regen is at 100 mvs per tic WITHOUT no quit
Warhorse move regen is at 28 moves per tic with no quit. Warhorse max moves are 170
Human regen is set to 17 moves a tic
remove all horses from the game except warhorses. When you rent your warhorse rents with you, when you log in you log in with it following you. When you die it follows you to the circle. Warhorses are unkillable. Whistle is still part of the game. Warhorses are an extension of humans.

Horses still have to move the distance, sometimes it takes several tics for the horse to reach you. They can't go through gates and more often than not they're hagg'd by the time they reach you. IF we decide to horsehop, and that's a big if, you have 70 more moves than our warhorse that only regens about as much as you. If it's a grey, we'll be about even, if it's a white we'll have a few more but then you regen twice as fast as those horses. Fine, we still have about 130 mvs to chase you. You regen about a third more than us. If we whistle, we'll be lucky if our horse makes it to us, and if it does, it will be hagg. So if you can't lose us within two horses, then you'll have to slowly regen past us.
Anything other than a warhorse is useless and most people don't want to leave theirs to chase, especially since I, personally, need the ob to break defenses consistently.

lol reading your post the facts you site all contribute to my argument that humans have too many moves.
any horse other than a warhorse... useless??? are you mad!! even if those horses had 0 move regen they would still be amazingly useful. How is horsehoping an if. Seriously? you hop on a fresh horse and chase/ run. When that horse hags you dismount and run/chase some more.
Lets say you hag your warhorse running from blight. (160) You dismount in lower blight, run camp. (35ish moves). you jump on a horse there (+80 mvs). hag out the horse, then hag yourself out running. Sure you are now 3 tics away from your warhorse if you sit in the same spot and whistle, you are also out of range from ANY trolloc since you've ran further than their max move pool. you are also in FD at this point and can jump on a white stallion, regen your personal moves, and wait for the trolloc to catch you who will be hag if he gets to fd while you will be draining personal moves on a freshish white stallion (+100 moves)
Now you fight the trolloc around fd a buddy logs in and you smash him. He runs fd patty, he can't go anywhere else becase he has no moves. You are now back on your warhorse, and between your horse and personal moves you're regening about 70 moves a tic. He runs, you chase, he hags, you kill. Anyone with a little skill can use this massive advantage with ease when playing ls.

How about this, I charge keep trying to kill a trolloc. My warhorse haggs somewhere near Keep, I have to flee south when one of your buddies get on. I might make it to Gap, the horse will hagg before FD. You have nearly as much regen as me and a non-warhorse combined. You will have enough mvs to catch us, there won't be a problem there. Whomever has to chase into someone else's territory should have a disadvantage in mvs. That's a given. I could grab a white horse from the stable if I make it to Fal Dara, but if I whistle and you and whatever trolloc is on are hot on my trail, Fal Dara isn't exactly safe, and my horse will hagg before it gets back, it will take many tics for my warhorse to get back from Keep, if I'm lucky enough to be alive by then. Same kind of scenario.
In other words, if I chase keep, the farthest I will be able to flee is about somewhere close to Fal Dara, if someone has left a grey and if I want to take a chance of my warhorse disappearing for an unknown amount of time. If you chase Fal Dara, you can make it past Gap or to either one of your patties around.
If we have too many mvs, you have too much regen.

a white horse will hag from FM before you get to FD. A grey has less moves then that (useless) gap patty has 1 grey horse load there. If by blight patty you mean obsidian tower, im fairly sure there isn't a horse load there. Also, warhorse hag easy while pking against thiefs because of the new notice mvs usage. On top of that, if we dismount we are basicly McFcuked unless we are in our own city because it is extremely easy to personal hag very quickly....
I play a DS and my DS Rogue 18 17 16 20 19 (243mvs) can pk inside FD and still run from FD to FD patty drink blood then run from there to keep easily. If i havn't been moving much i can run from FD to blight patty (usually it will tic by then or before) allowing myself to run to keep safetly.
On LS, pking inside FD then chasing a trolloc i will normaly hag my horse around clark (it usually will tic by then or before) then i run camp and hag again having to spam for the trolloc.(while im waiting for regen OR even waiting for horse to come after i whistle, the darkie is well gone and waiting keep while regening there for will have near full by the time i get there with shit all moves.
i don't even have whistle because i can't afford it with my pracs.
Basicly, if you can't run as a troll then you either suck as watching your moves or you suck at running. either way you need to practice at something. look in the mirror and stop blaming the game. because there isn't anything wrong...

I'm going to make an effort to play trollocs a few times in the near future. If I never have issues with moves, I'll reply to this thread with a big "learn2play". If I do, you can say "I told you so" and it'll get worked on.

Yea I don't think it is a problem, atleast from what I have seen. I went up north because someone was ringing bell but didn't want to come south, and two smash me. :) So I run on a full warhorse, and my horse goes hag gap! I dismount and run to the patty and use a grey. That horse haggs around the Clark statue and I run to the patty near Clark, where I am hagg! Both kept up with me the entire way! Trolloc moves definitely need some help ;)

Moves seem fine to me, you just need to pace yourself properly. Also, if there's a thief on ds, tell him to stab any unmounted horse he sees. Boom, no more free bursts of moves for humans.

I can count the amount of times a dreadguard has regenned me on one finger. They just aren't active.
Furthermore, regardless of numbers be they even or tipped one way or the other 4/5 of pk happens in human territory. I can make it from blight to fd with 20 moves to spare.

If the numbers are even, if it's not a stabber, I always make an effort to go to more even territory like the Gap.
