Noticed this on Worm mob also before - seems to set a flag that lasts a long time

The Exterior of Fal Dara
Several black char marks dot the walls that were once clean and white. The
area outside of the walls used to be heavily forested, but now the tall trees
have all been cleared for several spans to keep a clear view of the exterior of
Fal Dara.

It lastsed for at least 2 stab attempts and didnt try anymore. It wasn't on him 20 minutes earlier tho.
