Just wondering why this weave was made entirely useless?

it wasn't, just made it so channies couldn't run with infinite horse moves... You can still regen pcs.
On a side note, in the books Moraine regenned horses, but if they were run too hard they could die. So maybe like 1 regen on a horse, but if hagged it would die?

I dont know I think just giving regen a higher 1/3 higher cost in sps and 2 sec longer weave timer would be better. Because as regen is now it is useless. and anyone who tries to say otherwise is kidding themselves :P. This just makes it so that any trolloc with a vial can run and have no worries of ever being caught. (although any trolloc without a vial should stay in keep >.<) The argument that channies can still regen pcs is pointless because unless a pc wants to carry me around on their shoulders then im still gonna hag :P

Your horses moves plus your personal moves can stil run further than a trolloc can.

That is true, however this isn't about trolloc moves, this is about the weave regen. I wholeheartedly agree that trolloc moves SUCK. But alting the regen weave as it was won't fix that. In my opinion trollocs should all be given an additional 25-40% boost to move regen while resting/sleeping. They probably also need a base move raise of about 10-15%.

Instead of saying "Trolloc moves suck, lets increase them so they can run from FM to Keep without hagging", lets suppose that trolloc moves are actually about right, and instead it's the HUMAN moves base and availability of horses that needs to be looked at.

If you do that, then I think you will come up with a much closer to accurate assessment of the situation we are facing.

If you go by that line of reasoning, I think you will find that the regen weave is actually fine with the tweaks that it was given.

Nah still don't think so :P
regen was not 'tweaked' it was made useless
Ifrit unless you plan to post something constructive do me a favor and don't post :)
But I see im the only one who thinks the change was ridiculous but then again all who have responded mainly play there trolls :P, but then again I really only play a channie so maybe I am biased. i dont know. Either way i can tell our opinions differ greatly and i see that this is going nowhere but down the drain so i won't continue my end of the discussion :)

So a dreadguard can just regen trollocs but we can't regen our mounts? The only reason I would use regen is for my horse. Its not like this gives me any particular advantage.

I don't know why weave damage was reduced either, I now have to create fire crit people like 6 times and it seems rather excessive and stupid. The game is already skewed towards bashers and the only class you keep downing is channelers. I'm not saying this with bias, I've played all 4 classes and I know the pros and cons of each and I've considered this myself.

Fix choke! WTF!

My post was constructive. I just don't mince words. Here, ill be even more constructive and break it down for you.

Ready?

the definition of biased: prejudiced; influenced; not neutral

the definition of idiot: a person of subnormal intelligence

Since you might not be cognitively capable of using deductive reasoning to understand how you clearly are a biased idiot i'll help you out and break it down further -- i did state you were an idiot, and it would be hypocritical of me not to treat you as such.

For starters:
Ciarra wrote:Just wondering why this weave was made entirely useless?
The weave was not made entirely useless, you can still use it on PCs. the weave has been made a lot less useful for ls, and its functionality has remained the same for DS. However, for the sake of argument, i should pose the question: how often is a non ls channies' horse regened? i'm willing to wager that it occurs about as often as DS non channies are regened: rarely at best. The REAL change is LS channies can no longer run around on a horse indefinatly while they still have sps. This was ACTUALLY an issue and affected the game mechanics to a very large extent.

That said, i could chalk this post up to an emotional response from a player who most likely solely plays ls channies and was upset that infinite moves were taken away, but your subsequent posts continued to display the same level of idiocy and bias. And so, i called you out on it. Perhaps i should have stated "Ciarra, just so you know, you're posts are displaying a high level of idiocy and bias, would you mind thinking about what you write before you post please?" But as i stated earlier, i don't mince words, and to be frank your posts pissed me off.

I hope that clears things up. Sorry for the bluntness (kinda).

@ifrit- Just wondering, Do you take enjoyment in insulting people because their opinion differs from your own, or do you just always have a stick up your ass?

You know in general Ciarra is a bias idiot but so are you Crunch.

I think she actually only posted this because I agreed with her and I'm not one to just back my class for the hell of it. I'd just like some balance in this game.

Your all a bunch of biased idiots. Play all the classes before asking for changes to destroy others. Since i Play ALL chars on both sides let me break this down.

Trolls:
As a rogue I can run across the world practically, gluck chasing me without regen.
As a hunter yep i can still run like a goddamn beast. Ill run circles around your hagged horses.
As a warrior, its a little more difficult but with a little careful planning your not catching me.
As a Fade, HAHAHAHA gluck chasing me.
As a dreadguard, I can regen everything, my mvs own and I can gate fast. Enjoy sitting on your thumb.

Humans: As a rogue, I got a few vials and ive stacked a few horses Im ok. Not like anythings running from me anyway as everything beats me up
As a hunter, Im not catching squat unless they are slightly retarded because white horses/rough horses are SHIT, I NEED vials just to be able to NOT die when i chase on foot and hagg out and still dont catch you.
As a warrior: see above.
As a channie, Not going to even bother anymore, because not only NOW can i hagg just as easy, but i do less dmg and I still tap out of sps with whomever im fighting being crit/beat and then can destroy me because i have no sps and our melee sucks.

MOBILITY for ds is retarded. unless chase is on and hamstrings us we can run for miles and miles, and have no worries. Atleast with regen someone could chase. but i guess thats what had you all upset is that someone could actually finish a kill if you got low. Now thats gone so you have less to worry about. Or I suppose you like knowing that there is zero risk for you if you have a head on your shoulder. I HAVE and CAN run around keep forever vs humans then switch it up run stronghold run around. and then make my way back to keep on a troll easy as pie. And ive seen some of the people on here complaining do it as well. The fact that ONE class on the opposite side can keep up really had you guys that buttsore? And nice to see the personal attacks claiming Ciarra is a biased idiot considering you are all acting like a bunch of biased idiots.

honestly i have never caught a trolloc, who ran out of fal dara, before he made it to keep. Now i realize i dont have the best chasing skills, but considering with regen they still beat me then i dont think he is exaggerating at all.

Jerrick, you do realize warhorses and trollocs have the same move regen.

Warhorses have 125-150 mvs, couple this with human personal moves and it is fair to say that human's have a move pool of about 300. When you look at the facts its pretty fucking obvious that both sides are fairly comparable with regards to mobility.

I would agree, playing ls takes more skill than ds, you have to decide when its appropriate to dismount and chase, or dismount and run in. But really, with "whistle" it takes A LOT of the risk out of doing this. Dismounting and remounting is a massive advantage that you failed to mention in your little rant.

I really don't care enough to put any more effort into this argument, but it doesn't take much to see these two are completely off base in their analysis of game mechanics.

However, i i do want to congratulate Jerrick in gaining his new achievement "Biased Idiot". Jerrick, feel free to add it to your title, it can be accessed through your Journal.

Ciarra, the reason you don't catch us (usually) is because we've been here forever and ever, and we know the spams by heart. At the same time, we also know how many moves its going to take us to get into keep from certain points. If we don't have the moves to run then we do things to buy time, flee around at FD patty a bit and such. If I die at FD patty, its because I didn't have the moves to run into keep and I know it - so I take my chances at patty rather than haggard in south blight with no mob support.

I find ciarra and jerrick's remarks amusing on the mobility thing.

85% of the time i in fact do NOT have enough moves to make it anywhere. More often than not(giving away my little secret here since i now have fade mobility) if you cared to try to decipher the crazy tracks i would leave, you'd find me 4, 5 or 6 rooms off the main path, resting up my moves because I had none. instead, you spent your moves (because yes, you still had many) wandering north or chasing me the wrong direction. So when I finally did get enough moves to make it to my next hiding point, i'd dash past you and you'd hagg. All because of chasing(or lack thereof) and not because you don't have enough moves.

And that is how i have played for nearly the entirety of my DS life.

Just as I said, we don't have the moves we have just learned to cope with them as best we can.

Here Ill post as Kombat.

Ive done it, I still do it, and I can continue to do it with ease on ALLLL my trolls.. Exaggeration no..its not. I OUTRUN warhorses. someone is in fd, i port down go inside get beat up. I can RUN to keep NO problem from fd after porting down, and mr warhorse cannot. I can then get keep regen a tick or so and be ready to scamper to no end up here with mr human either being on foot or a shit horse. STILL not catching me. Its not a matter of being here forever and coping because ive played both sides of the field ALOT, and always being primarily a darkside player you would think I would be biased towards that side, but im not. Myr went from Tar valon, ALLLLLLL the way to keep out running me (while regenning my horses as I had to ditch several) Lamgwin (who horse hopped like 20 different horses) Mesana (who horse hopped got annoyed and gated ahead) and Ciarra (who horse hopped /regened as well). Now your saying someone who is NEW to the game and doesnt even know those zones well should be able to outrun 20+ horses with FOUR people chasing her. TWO of which being veterans no problem? Sure he may have burned a vial or two but from tar valon to keep in less then 5 minutes with people chasing extremely hard? Get real.

There aren't 20 horses from TV to Keep.

If there were 20 horses you'd have enough moves to make that run twice.

Add up the moves :)

I'm just saying that human moves are not in a bad shape, at all. not at all.

Did regen need to be made non weavable on mobs? No, I don't agree with the change. i'm just voicing my experience in general.
