I think this is a really good idea, instead of having a specific clan for the gaidin, Aes Sedai can bond whom ever they want and that person just gets a tag, maybe even a little bonus.....i think maybe they should still have a chest they can use (so people who are unclanned and get bonded can still have that luxury)

From near everyone I had been talking to as Solare before I left the general consensus was that this would be the perfect method. I know myself and Kathryn talked about it, and it was the better idea then a seperate clan. Maybe have it as a clan but you being able to bond anyone was preferred. Instead of having people clan into a gaidin clan rank up etc etc. That would require people making new chars etc, and quite honestly picking someone that you already know/like would be better as it would then allow anyone active to become one to an extent. But then again I didnt think it was even in the works as of yet =P

I dig the ideas put forth in the above posts. But, there should soytenly be rp implications if an AS bonds someone the Sitters find undesirable.

yeah i don't think the idea is original at all, shit look at blademaster. landor just asked me if i would go gaidin and i mentioned i was hoping it wouldn't be a stand alone clan like the others that you'd have to rank up in and quit your own clan.
