Is there some sort of policy, informal or not, concerning looting?

I started relatively recently here on ds, and it seems the feeling here is that you loot what you need and leave the rest to accelerate pk. I get my gear back and I can throw myself back into the fray (which i often do!).

Yet, today as soon as picking up our gear we were stabbed or attacked 3v1 all up and down fd to the keep.

If you guys really just want to collect double scalps while we try to regain the gear, that's fine. I'll run the gauntlet, and expect you to as well when its your turn to loot your corpse. It helps to hear what each side has to say on this, since it appears we don't have the same understanding about looting.

Was I misinformed?

I think you died because the people who stabbed you were aware that you all were dead/equiping...

What's simply amazing is the number of post people have created "I hate being full looted" post and the answer to that has been"don't post a loot thread again", maybe just maybe we should reconsider our policy on this issue and consider whether the norm is productive or counter productive to the mud.

I have been full or half looted 5 times the last 2 week and it's hard not to adopt a fuck you attitute but from what i have deducted the usual culprit is some same side newbie smuck who thinks top end gear is hard as fuck to get like on wot.

I am all for a limited amount of looting so those died can reenter pk asap and those naked or in shit eq cant just full loot.

This ideology should appease the socialist on the mud.

Looting is stupid, it kills pk. If you want eq, you can:
1. ask for it! I almost always keep a full combo set that is extra on ds. IF you need it you can have it.

2. Smob for it! not too hard, takes maybe one evening to get full top end gear.

My policy is, has and always will be the following:

1) Equip yourself
2) Equip the people you are PKing with
3) Leave what's left

But really anything should be fair game, especially if it's worth qps. You'll all be a lot happier if you just assume you are going to get full looted, grab some crap from the newbie chest/clan chest/easy mobs and be ready to PK in lesser/no gear.

I made it out. I think what you're trying to say is that stabbers were unaware people were naked/reequipping?

As for looting, my post didn't have to do with whether or not to loot full, half or not as much as it did with the circumstances following that re equip. I don't need to loot most of what I get out of pk, so I simply don't. I have done it, but I usually only take a few needed items.

But if we adopt the socialist view then using lesser or no gear should not be accepted because we should all be in equally awesome or crap gear, there should not be any type of inbalance between mid end to top end gear cause remember low end gear is for aesthetics purposes only!

Stop full looting, srsly. It's fucking lame. 1v1 someone and you walk away with 1/4 kit. Big group pk, half your people are kitless. This shit ruins pk, and is destroying the mud's atmosphere.

How about you go and check for your gear before you slander someone on the forums?
