Landor and the Valon

So I wanted to apply to the Valon Guard, get this - for the RP. I thought it would be cool to be a part of the tower and maybe one day have the opportunity to become Gaidin.
I've now come to the understanding that there are a few differences between the only two active members of the clan and it seems I'm getting stuck in the middle of it all.
I said -jokingly- to an immortal the other day that Landor had said I needed to kill Lamgwin to get clanned. They obviously didn't think of it as much of a lighthearted comment as now it is being used as a reason or excuse to declan Landor. So not only are we trying to make the clan more inactive, but we're doing it for any excuse we can find. Now I don't know the full history of everything, but I've certainly heard things about both Landor and Lamgwin.
I also discovered the other day that one imm was particularly swift to pass judgment on Landor. However, I don't think all of this is entirely his fault and certainly what I've said shouldn't be anything to be held against him. I also don't want to join a clan and have to mediate disputes within it or be excluded from it as a result, and neither should anyone else. This insight hasn't made the clan particularly attractive however I would still like the opportunity to be apart of it.
In my brief time here and from what I've seen, you really just need to get over it and forget or something. Lets just all be friends! Or at least get along when we have to. I think the response to this has been an immature and misguided one and hope a well reasoned and fair outcome can now be reached given this post!
