How would you manage and get used to a 12, 17, 19, 18, 13 mc?

I only manage to play it flee, hitting, can do a lot of damage, heh, but not enough because of low str.

Can't live through two bashes (three if lucky) with that defence unless you are in top gear. I don't play this character often, I usually prefer absers. ANy ideas or advice? I tried stab, problem is I wasn't landing enough and getting eaten up, then I tried short blades with attack, to interrupt weaves and to do some extra damage, problem is shield parry won't give enough defence because of low str, and shield hurts dodge..


just go 1 handed stave or med blade? I tried med blade, was alright, shield again. never tried 1 handed stave.

basically, the only times I have played this character and managed to do much is with a 2 handed stave, I got a master abser level 51to wound, no weaving, which is already pretty good, but I was flee hitting that, I could try flee hitting with fast weaves, except one bash from a master trolloc and I hurting... would get him scratched, then on a char similar, I just lured him to mobs and got him crit, but what if I have warrants and can't use mobs? heh

Solo on that kind of char is tough, I handle absers decently, but I need more practice with this kind of character.

1 vs 1 against a half equipped player I do well with top gear :p I'd have advantage, but they can still break my def. 1 vs 1 against a fully equiped, or against 2 half equiped, I am so dead unless I run :p

maybe take a hit, then hope they miss bash and weave a long weave? heh

that is risky business, would have 2 shots at it against a fully equipped warrior.


best strategy: hit, wait till we both hit at same time, then weave strong weave as soon as hit for optimal damage? Or try fleehitting with fast weave? you'll notice they'll barely get scratched they'll have soo much hp :p while you loose hp really fast.

to be honest I wouldn't play a channie with str and con that low, str affects you because you cant go two handed weapons because of the low str you will have lowered pb, so you will have to waste pracs on shield parry and a one handed weapon.

The con sucks without a doubt, like you said two bashes and you are dead. I would restat and shoot for better str and con, contrary to what most people say dodge is not for low con characters, you should go abs or combo with bash but with such horrible strength you arent going to bash a deer.

Restat, get stats that you really like such as 15 17 17 17 15 or so and tear it up, but you also have to realize that the wotmud system is known to screw mcs over, imo you are wasting your time playing an mc, you will sooner or later get outed and all the time you have taken to develope the character will be for naught. Stat an fc, that way you dont have to worry about getting screwed over by a poor sport you recently killed.

I'd normally agree with you there Evilina, those stats are playable though if a bit tough agreed, I am not going to play another char with such a low str, I'll at least play out this one since I have had him so long, he will find use, but before I give him rp uses, I want to be able to handle him pking wise.

I was talking with a friend more accustomed to dodge channelers, he has a char 13, xx, xx, 18, 14. of course 1 more in str and 1 more in con. That char is awsome, he has had the character for five years, non darkfriend, of course, and has been actively channeling and fighting for 3 yearswithout sign of taint. Can give you scalps etc to prov it if ever, lol

Trick for taint is to release no matter what at first sign of good. means you have minimal sp to channel, and have to be able to handle low stats in melee fighting. I working on the tower part to find some better way to accustom non darkfriend or tainted/ murdering mcs into the game, is making progress if a bit slow.

anycase, set up he said to use was
camo hood, bskin tunic, cloth sleeves, dark gloves, breeches, silver tooled boots, then top end trinks and etched and bone handled blade (med blade).

"don't stand toe to toe with a basher till dodge 130, don't get confident till dodge is 140 !"

he plays kinslayer btw, is a cool guy, and is the person who told me to play here in the first place. Not sure how active he is here though. *grin*

problem with that is only this: you die, you loose a full set plus top end trinks (what you need to get that kind of db !) Also, levels, you need to get higher levels to make that work. level 30 won't cut it, and it takes forever to get to 51 there.
