Novices that reside here. Cozy rugs cover the wooden floors, comforting to the
bare feet that walk here. In one of the corners, a plain chest holds the
valuables of the girls against intruders.

I'm inside my clan room, i should be safe to go afk for a while. The fact that anyone can get in there is preposterous and seriously needs to be changed.

Battering rams are pretty difficult to get, and break pretty easily when you use them. They are ridiculously heavy which kills defense and OB, and it takes many tries to get into the clan room. I had to dodge a warder the whole time just trying to bust the door in. The Novice even screamed my position first.

it had nothing to do with you being lame nicotine, i dont think i mentioned that once. But when someone has to go do something, their clan room should be protected. Just saying 'playing not afking' is not a good enough argument, Alder.

In your case right there you could have rented temporarily, or if renting is not an option, drop link.

Why say that the mud is for playing, not afking? I'd rather people stay on and afk then rent when they have to run do something. That way they atleast come back and get back on, if only to just rent.

If you are going to afk, make sure you idle out so you stay safe.

Most people won't straight-up kill linkdead people either, so if you don't want to rent, just go linkdead.

I'd appreciate if someone who can actually give some good input on this problem could respond.

Well, if you are already -in- rent then why not rent? You can't get in with no quit on so no problem there really, all it takes it typing r-e-n-t, and I think even r-e-n will do the trick.

And I thought Battering rams -were- made to smash down doors and get into clan rooms?

I don't see any issues with actually being able to get into clan rooms. However, most clan areas are pretty weak and need to be buffed up a bit. I may also make clan rents no hide as logging in to a stab is never a pleasant experience, and I do think people should be able to go AFK somewhere if they want/need to.

Battering rams were originally intended for gates. Imagine this, once inside, ANYONE can loot your clan chest. That's pretty weak IMO.

yeah getting into clan rooms is cool and all, but i think it could use some buffing up, a solo troll should not be able to go inside the heart of a city to that clans stronghold and be able to do that

If we can, whats stopping anyone from getting a battering ram, using it on same side doors, and stealing EVERYTHING from that clans chest, like nicotine was entirely able to do just then?

I have put in place a mechanism that only allows 3 items per player per boot from a clan chest if the player is not from that clan. This was put in place before battering rams were introduced, so clan chests cannot be cleaned out.

All rents, clan or otherwise, are now no hide.
