I think that if you gain a level, get the pracs, then die and lose a level, you'll keep those pracs, then if you relevel, you'll gain more pracs, thus giving you an extra level of pracs.

may want to look into that

They subtract after death, it just doesn't show up when it gets into the negatives, which is something I'll go fix.
