Thought I would post a concern, I've been playing quite a bit this week and would still be using a newbie kit if Gristlyn hadnt of hooked me up with some mid range eq.

There doesnt appear to be enough equipment in the game, smobs appear to load very little, and are rather hard. I have seen one smob group formed thus far, most people prefer to get their eq from pk but the majority of pk'es are wearing junk.
Four of us decided to smob but we couldn't take out snake king or skeletal knight . Later we were going to try smobbing down south but a fully equiped troll decided he would rather log his fully equiped human on and try to kill the semi naked trolls. This leads to the have's and the have's not mentality, on wot they call this eliticism, wouldn't it be more of a challenge if everyone was on an equal playing field, not depending on eq to play the deciding factor in a good pk session?

The harder the eq is to get the worse the affect of dying and loosing said equipment, personally I just want to play, pk, and have as much fun as possible. I know I'm gonna die alot and I'm cool with that, but what I'm not cool with is having to wear sub par equipment and being pwned by anyone in a mid to high end set. The frustrations of such experiences could eventually turn away alot of players, epsecially newer ones.

Can you see the repititious redundancy;

get low end set
go pk
die to someone in high end set
get low end set
go pk
rinse and repeat.

This is just my opinion and view point, do you guys agree or think eq is fine and dandy at the moment?

I'm not coming from a dodger's perspective, but for a abs/basher, it isn't too difficult to get decent pking gear. Just need to know where decent abs loading mob is and/or mediocre bashing weapon example:spiked half moon axe. I personally pk in this gear and have upgraded to better abs eq from human corpse. So equipment base is not that messed up for abs/bashers

I do however see where you are coming from. I myself find it hard to find eq for a combo alt on ls and am facing the same troubles as you. On top of that there are barely ever(at least when I'm on which is quite alot) enough people on to form a smob group. Definitely understand your dilemma

There are several little mobs spread around the world that load some half-decent stuff.

At least easily pkable, hell I have to bout with total nakedness sometimes

Viral mentioned the abs mob with spiked axe, which is an awesome mob, and allows some decent abs/combo that is easily pkable.

But for dodge, it's a little more difficult, and if you've seen the dodgers with their nice sets: Lithium, Cifon, Nicotine, Norash...etc there are only a few in the game, and each of those sets is actually different. But these sets are very superb, and they can dodge bashes from very strong bashers with nice weapons etc.

But dodge still wasn't so great, and as Galnor announced on announcements, seems dodge has been upped or fixed a little(although I haven't tested). So that's good.

And, I can only suggest that if you are in a shitty set, and especially if your on darkside and pking, use blight to your advantage, it is the single most best ds friendly zone in the game(besides cities of course) and outranks any ls friendly zone.

On my lvl 20ish trolloc I was able to handle several humans blight easily(shit set that I found on the skeleton thing in the door e of keep), the addition of mobs actually engaging faster is super cool.

Kinslayer is alot tougher now, I personally like the more rare sighting of really nice sets, it's a great playoff since back in old kinslayer everyone had a pimp set.

Hopefully the dodge fix will fix these problems, and again I'm still a bit skeptical at how inclined and advantaged the warriors are with perfect stats and beyond uber str, and with the frequency of decent weapons, it destroys dodgers because of insane ob etc.

Dodge is just reallly hard to play, or it was. We'll see.

I'd be more than happy to, but I found it enjoyable to figure some of that stuff out, it adds a little "adventure" and silly questing that kinslayer doesn't very much have.
