The mud, pbase, and me

Irony at it's finest, the better the mud becomes the fewer players we have log on.
I have been very busy lately but finally had a little spare time and decided to log on and test the changes, honestly I just needed a laugh but was completely suprised to find the mud bug free, the economic system well balanced, exp and level gain very well balanced, and the coding for weapons and equipment to be awesome.
My hats off to you immortals, good job guys.
sidenote: I wont be available much as I am back in school, working, and fixing to get married.

I have logged on a few times, but everytime I only have time to get level 3ish so I get autodeleted again before I get a chance to log back in to get a few more levels :p. That and noone is ever on. I just wonder if the mud is so darn balanced and great why noone comes here to play anymore. Back a year ago we had a playerbase that was pretty steady, and before that it was even growing, so I thought. But now the only people here are the hardcore players. Those that have been here since damn near the beginning. Hopefully it picks up again.

It was so easy to do stuff back than. That's what brought people here. There's a paradox here. They've made it so that it would be easy for someone to get stats but everything else is harder: Exping is harder, equiping yourself is harder. if there was more gear in game that people could just grab and pk with it'd be ok. But you can't do anything with the crappy dodge and in pk the crappy abs just gets torn to pieces. So again people wanted it to be made harder but they've made it so hard that's it is now considered 'boring repetitive work' instead of 'good hard fun'. Again with the extremes.
They also have to have more solo smobs that load decent eq to wear. That way say there's a decently equiped person online he killed the solo mob and gives the gear to the newbie. By decently equiped, I mean any class, not a stabber than can stab a fade. ATM Trin is COMPLETELY naked and COMPLETELY useless unless someone gets online to help him get stuff.
I wish there were a bunch of mobs that slowly you could kill. Like say there was a mob that loaded better gear and better abs/dodge that a level 5 in newbie gear could take. And than there was another mob that could be taken by a level 20 person that had better gear than the level 5 mob did. And than at level 30 there was an equivalent of something pkable. which they really already have with the barbarian at least for his axe.

By the way Trin, I got on and equipped you and I'm pretty sure you wouldn't know if noone ever gets on when you are never on.

I posted this before you equiped me...... and i've been on twice a day to see if people have been on. no i do not wait for people to get on. because i was naked. so i don't sit there and wait and wait and wait until someone gets online.

So that's just why you sent a tell to me that read "Most of my total play time is just idling, waiting for people to get on." Pretty sure that's waiting for people to get on.
