Its about time that USC got what it deserved!! I just have to say, I have always thought Vince Young was one of the best college quarterbacks, and tonight I was proved right. He should have gotten the Heisman. Vince Young is insane.

I disagree about Vince Young gettin the Heisman. But that doesn't matter, as it's done and passed.

I do think Vince is an awesome quarterback, but I strongly dislike his terrible attitude and bad sportsmanship.

I've seen a couple games with him being a complete asswhole to his team, and with his whining about not gettin the Heisman and all that jazz.


I was thoroughly depressed with USC's defense, I only got to watch the 2nd half as I was working, but it was very crap. But some will say, what can you do, when you try to blitz Vince and then he just runs the damn ball, it's just straight nasty.

It was a great upset, a terrific game, and I'm glad it happened. I have to say I was pulling for USC, as I wanted to see some history with 3 titles in a row, but hey, Texas made some too by winning a title after 37ish years.

I am still completely for USC's choice of 4th and 2 by going for it, and if they had made that, the game would have been completely different. I think that decided the play of the game, along with Vince's final touchdown with 4th and 5

I am always glad when I see the best team(USC) take some risks, and it's always a great thing to see. Similarly this can be reflected to kinslayer's supposed "legends", and half the time, no, most the time we don't see this happen.

It's do or don't, and USC didn't get it, so they lost

Great great finish though, I still agree with Leinhart(can't spell his damn name) when they interviewed him at the end of the game, he said it was a great win for Texas and they beat USC and earned it, but then he said, "We're still a better football team" which I'll agree with to the end

Hey, that's why upsets are fun, I still wanted Notre Dame to win that game against USC, USC got extremely lucky at the end(lamer Leinhart!, throw that football out of bounds!) and pulled through.

Football is fun to watch , watch any other games Chase? I've got plenty of college football for one season, I'm all wasted now.

And also, when some of the commentators were talking about #21 of USC, the other back(can't remember his name), and how they said they never really noticed how great a player he was, I just laughed. I get a kick out of half of the idiots who talk, because if they had watched any other USC games, they would see how potent USC is with a power running back(#21), the crazy running back(Bush) and with the powerful passing offense.

No way, Young has an awesome attitude. He only said he was disappointed that he didnt get the Heisman. There are numerous quotes from Young's team where they say the Young is the team mascott, he gets everyone pumped and lightens the mood. There were pictures of Young dancing on the sidelines during the game trying to get his team excited.

Besides, I think Bush is overrated. LenDale White (#21) has always been good, he was just overshadowed by Bush. I still think Young deserved the Heisman, with his 2,500 passing yards and 1,000 rushing yards in one season. (First time in NCAA history). He is like a great quarterback ( best passing poficiency) along with a great runner (1,000 yards as a quarterback).

You need to watch a video of that game since you were at work. The best football game I have ever seen. I was pulling for the Longhorns all year to knock off USC, and they finally did it.

Im gunna tell yall im from Oklahoma and i hate Texas, rivalry and all, but i hate USC more (gettin a little to close to breakin our winning streak). I was cheering for Texas the whole game. Ive never seen Young be rude to his team and he is an amazing quarterback even though he was a little unsportsman like at the end of the game he was just excited. BTW my prediction before the game was Texas 42-38 , how amazing am I. OU gunna kick there ass next year tho no sweat over here.

I saw the second half , That's plenty of time for me. I've seen too many games, and this one was good enough for just a half-game watch.

And, if you are going to take into consideration Young's uber elite skills of 2500 passing yards and 1000 rushing, and then his awesome completion %, look at the other teams he played.

The only ones worthwhile were Ohio State(which they almost lost) and then USC(which they almost lost).

Granted he still performed well(USC game mainly) but the rest of Texas' season was a joke.

That's why I always get a kick out of all these % and yadda yadda. You have to look into the teams they play.

For instance my favorite QB in college football is Brett Basinez(NW)(or Basanez, easier to say..) and he at one time was the highest proficiency QB and was the most unknown. Hell probably still is. But he was playing Big Ten teams that actually had some worthwhile passing defense, and he's my man.

Also you can look at Drew Olson from UCLA, he did great(although they had slow starts, and their defense is absolutely terrible) with passing %, same with Leinhart.

But they actually played more of real teams. So don't let the facts and figures get to you, even I coulda destroyed the teams Texas played(cept the 2 big ones)

I'd have to say my most enjoyable game to watch was Northwestern vs Wisconsin. Huge 30+ point comeback in the 4th quarter by NW, along with Wisconsin scoring too in last quarter.

I think Nebraska might get something going too, although they changed completely with the new coach to a west coast offense

How can you even bring up schedules? The pac 10 is one of the Weakest Confrences. If everyone started puttin it that way all of Bush's yards wouldnt be worth shit because Pac 10 has some of the shittiest defense's in the nation.

Agreed. Who did USC play that was reasonably hard? Notre Dame. UCLA has horrible defense.

Texas played and beat Texas Tech (was ranked 5 at the time). Texas won like 55-14. Texas beat Ohio State too..and Ohio state is pretty damn good...

UCLA has pretty good passing defense, if you saw the UCLA vs USC game, Leinhart absolutely sucked. While Bush and 21 won the damn game for them

Remember Oregon? The Team that got shafted once again? And then lost in a lesser Bowl game? Rofl. Cal wasn't so bad this year, Arizona State had terrible defense but a sexy offense, PAC 10 had some decent teams, but those teams play differently. High powered offense, weaker(and sometimes utter shit) defense.

So some games are just utterly offensive slugfests, and that's why they are so fun to watch.

The best of teams fail to meet the best of their ability in a couple games, that's why it's great to see them fall when they do.

Bush didn't do anything in the Texas game except help lose it for them. That showed how utter shit he is on some days, and possibly against a much stronger defense.

I'm not arguing against ya'll that such and such is uber because of the teams they played and the stats and whatnot. I'm arguing that just going off the basis of stupid stats is silly.

I agree USC didn't play too many damn good teams either, but I don't get impressed by seeing stats and scores.

I get impressed when I actually see the actions and abilities of the player themselves.

Again this can be related to kinslayers legends, WTF cares if they are legend 1, if you haven't seen them pk, you don't know if they are an utter pussyshit, a great chaser, or whatnot.

I was impressed with Vince's ability to run and pass, and make those quick decisions. But I was not overall overly impressed with his passing ability, I believe there were many other better passing quarterbacks that don't run near as well in the NCAA than Vince Young.

I also read some reviews, and I'm going to have to see how Vince will do in his NFL days when that comes, he might get absolutely mauled if he runs the ball as much as he does now.

And grist, you didn't tell me why OU is gonna be good next year! All I know is your going there!? How does a shy teenage dork make a football team great!!??

Ohh i was being sarcastic about that. But they are going to have a decent year next year. If you watched that bowl game they played pretty damn good. How did you know im goin to OU next year!?
