As suggested in "Little Details" some people dislike Legends by numbers and just the name legends.

Some suggested Ta'veren, yet an opinion that ta'veren only caused stuff to happen and didn't necessarily make them skilled shows the for and against.

It makes sense that a ta'veren is someone you'd really like to kill(ie killing legends) as they do make a different in pk atmosphere sometimes.

Yet also legends(ta'veren) doesn't display skill, yet I truly don't think legends is on absolute skill, some of the easiest(grr spell right? i'm not smokin.) ways to get on their is to steal killhits etc and play a pansy.


Trin brought up pretty dorkily the idea that legends could be given "royalty" yet I interpret that as perhaps ranks.

Ranks could be differently named for both sides, as your not going to have the Legionnare for DS, more like some slaughtering name.

Ie:

Legend 1(if ls)= Protector(just made up) so it would say: Protector Vurek, or Vurek(my title) the Protector of The Light..etc.

These are terrible examples, as I'm runnin out the door, but does anyone like this idea of "legends" changed from Legend 1(no rp value at all) to some rpish cool name for the stupid pimp factor that legend supplies?

Any thoughts? Or do ya'll like the "Ta'veren 1" thing etc.

Ta'veren, although it does make sense in some ways, is not the best choise.

However the rank-based system Trin brough up is interesting. So we really have a few things we could do to change the list:

• 1. Keep it as it is now and change the name.
  
  2. Use the rank-based system, giving people a little title in their whois or whatnot while keeping the races merged into one list.
  
  3. Create different lists for each race with different rank titles.

I'm not making promises, but I will agree the "Legend List" was something I hastily tacked up without much thought other than functionality in order to provide a reason to play the game.

I'd like to hear more ideas, though.

Perhaps while we are even doing this, we could imp the other ideas that Nicotine and others have always wanted for all these "pimp lists".

Remember him mentioning having most gross wps, etc(been on legend for certain amt of time, Nico POSt, this is for you baby!!). Or whatnot, but those can always come later.

I definately like the idea of getting "rank names" because that just makes more rpish sense(hah.) and it'd be much more interesting than being a Legend 1-8.

Doesn't matter to me if lists stay merged or not yet our playerbase is so small that if we create a list of LS and a list for DS it might not work unless only 4(xxxish.) for each side.

Then again, could we even imp a merged list and an ummerged list? The merged could all have 1 side on there, showing the "ownage" of that side, while there would still be the other side recognized.

Shrug, just throwing the stuff out there.

Me likes these ideas so far

I'm thinking that number three seems to be the most feasible, easily coded, and most valid.

It gives each side a chance at unique naming, a reinforcement to Lighside Darkside leadership, and team aspiration.

Then while you're all at it, go ahead and give me some ideas for titles.

I'm not great with titles.

Like Nicotine's plan, I would just make "Lord of XXXX" be top place. That, and I think there should be only top 5. The top eight for each side would make way too many people on lists.
