Ok I was thinking of some combat skills to implement to diversify pk a little more....


GASH - sword attack useable with long blades only. kind of like a bash timer, and then if it hits the person, they start "bleeding" and lose 2 hp per combat round for 20 rounds... if it tics during that time, the person doesn't get any hps from the tic, but the bleeding ends.

examples:

someone landing on you:
*Vurek* sweeps his sword around, slicing into your body!

someone bricking on you:
You notice *Chase* preparing for a sweeping attack, and duck out of the way!

you landing on someone:
You bring your sword around in a sweeping motion, slicing into Nicotine's body!

you bricking on someone:
You are thrown off balance as *Growler* ducks away from your sweeping attack!


FLASH ATTACK - a melee skill for short blade users. has a timer, and if it lands it will inflict about the same dmg as a round of piercing, but to all enemies in the room. if you have attack practiced, the % will be cut in half and then applied to this skill.

examples:

you landing:
You whirl around, your dagger flashing.
You try to pierce *Musashi*'s body, but he deflects the blow.
You pierce *Darwin*'s waist.
You pierce *Darwin*'s legs very hard.
You barely pierce *Druss*'s legs.

you bricking:
You are too caught up in the heat of battle to focus on anyone else!

Cool, but don't know if Gash would be too great, as giving bashers another possible dmg timer might be a little too crazy(as they can't inflict the massive instantaneous dmg of the other prac setups, maknig them unique, in some ways harder and easier)

Would be interesting, but looks too overpowered, of course could be played with to only be unengaged, and just do little dmg each tic while allowing regen or something


Flash attack: Cool to hit everyone in room, but would dodgers like a skill that maybe increases ob greatly for one round or something?

This would allow stabbers to kill other dodgers, as there is no way to touch the dodger other than kick, which only does 10-12 hp dmg.

Pretty interesting though

vurek i think you're reading that gash thing wrong. i said 20 rounds, not 20 tics

Good idea, but it should be done so you cant do that to a bashed person. Basically, you may eat a bash, yet you take hps.

Oh your right, how many rounds in a tic? tehehe

STUN - only available for club users. if it lands, you will hit the ground with your club, sending a shockwave that knocks everyone, including allies, off their feet. It disengages anyone who is knocked to the ground. (remember, people who are stunned cannot be stabbed, so in order for a stab to go through you'd have to stand up and then get stabbed by a lucky timer....then again, it would have to not work on people hiding in the room...)

CHARGE - You charge an opponent with you spear. Lets make it work!

some sort of bash interupting skill, so can drop your shoulder into them and interupt the bash and take melee damage instead or something (or a cost of mvs/hps). A bit of diversity to bash vs bash fights.
