Kinslayer and the future

***First this is not an attack or criticism so dont take it that way***

Galnor can we get a serious response please?

Lately with the lack of immortals posting with any news I am left to the devices of my imagination over the games future security. some are positive while some negative and I suspect I am not the only player feeling this way.

The questions I would most like answered:

1. Are you still inspired to continue coding for Kinslayer? (I'm not asking if you still do so but rather do you still enjoy doing it and do so hoping the playerbase will appreciate your work?

2. What direction are you taking Kinslayer towards?

3. Where do you see or hope to see the mud in a few years?

4. If there was one thing you could change with the playerbase mentality what would it be?

5. How many hours have you given to the mud, and how many do you average a week? (Always wondered this one)

A final thought, Galnor I know you are not an open person and seem even more reseved than I am if that is at all possible but I for one feel alienated and supsect many other players do as well, I urge you to post with a little more frequency. Allow us to get to know you a little better, after playing here for a few years I have this set image of you in my head and I realize that it is completely wrong because in all that time I have spoken with you maybe five times.

irl I am Trin, if we were to meet I would not volunteer one iota of personal information to you and being that I have been rather open to you I probably would refuse to ever actually meet you in person.

Galnor is a very nice guy.

He has put days and days and days into this mud. I know that for a fact, he just likes to hover in the shadows most of the time, similar to the "god" in many christian religions, and appearing once in a while to do "miracles". :)

My only hope for him, is that he finds enjoyment in kinslayer as I think he once had. Over the past year I think he hasn't enjoyed it as much, but yet he still drove on to do it for us :D

And I am pretty sure all the changes are meant to be secret, so that with the mud's new "age", Galnor with the help of the other imm's can suprise us.

And I'm sure we'll like it, and I hope that puts a smile on your face you interesting chap :D

So keep on truckin, I am gonna linger here for a long time, for Galnor baby, I love what you've done 8)

Thing is Galnor has put up with alot of trash from alot of people about this mud. When you get nothing but negativity from everyone your working your ass off for, its downgrading, and harder to keep going. Even I gave him alot of problems before, when I was still to immature to keep my mouth shut long enough to listen to him. One thing is for sure, he cares enough to listen to us as long as we present the ideas in a reasonable format, pros, cons, simplicity, even suggestions on how to implement the idea, and a way to make it a balanced idea. Not to mention that if you actually think about your idea from the perspective of other people, aka, empathy, it gets you alot farther in Galnor's book, and makes your ideas more genuine. Its all about how its proposed. If you just write, down channies, it's ignored. If you propose the change, and a way to balance it, Imms listen, and think about it.

Patience. 8) Do you like working with deadlines? Preferably, I don't.

Some people don't like deadlines, others love them.

I'm sure they're response would be "mud will be up soon, or we are working on it".

So, best I can say, go live your life, perhaps do something other than mud or get on computer, and when mud does come back up, you'll enjoy it and appreciate it all the more.

Downtime is a part of kinslayer's history! We all get used to it :D

a response! thank you pheonix! i don't even want to consider all that has to be done. redoing all mob loads checking and rechecking them. making sure money is all out of the game. i'd say another month or so.

Yeah, I'm actually going to have free time in another week. I would be very happy if it's back by then :) If not, I may have to go out and get WoW instead...
