Im trying to connect to the server from my school right now.. well i have been all week but it keeps telling me "Connection Refused". Why is that? All i cant think of is the school got sitebanned. I can connect at home but.. im never there because the school is more entertaining.. if you knew the situation you would agree... but anyways did the school get sitebanned and if so why? I was pretty much the only one who ever played kinslayer here and I haven't broken any rules yet that i know of.. It allows me to connect to other muds just not this one.. any help on this would be great..

It's more likely that your school has a proxy that only allows HTTP traffic. Mine does. To find out, try a telnet client (sounds like you have), then open a web browser and type "http://kinslayer.mine.nu:2222" into the browser address bar. The telnet should fail, and the browser should succeed. If the browser fails, that just means either the MUD is down or the proxy only allows port 80 traffic, the default web browser port.
