Axe

Post by Guest »

I would very much like a dark gleaming axe. I can buy it or I have some extremely rare eq I might trade for it, but I think that it would almost be unfair to trade this eq for the axe, seeing as it came from lord turak.

Ive got 2 golden shields, and an ash club. Looking for any decent abs weapon besides a freaking gold broadsword or dark axe.

Join the club, I have yet to come across a shimmering, poleaxe, claymore, or anything better than a dark gleaming.

this kind of thing is very WOTMUD and encourages equipment hoarding and storaging, which is something that the vets on this mud do not take kindly to... nor should they

Id consider myself somewhat of a vet and I think its fine, maybe not to this degree of storage, but its fine. I know Tzurani has not gotten any of this from pk but from smobbing and taking excess equip that usually gets eaten by reboots when its on the ground.

trin, economy is great. and then there are the players that take all eq from kills, storage, and rent. if we let ourselves become like wotmud in this regard, equipment will become a lot scarcer and the general atmosphere of the game will be a lot less free. and chase, i'll take your word for that, but what's to stop other players from seeing this and beginning to storage equipment in an attempt to amass some sort of wealth or store of tradeable goods?

I'd rather see an economy based primarily off of gold than one based off of trading, but that's just me.

Moneys becoming worthwhile with this mining stuff too. I know I dont have enough money for all this smelting and smithing of high end ores/weapons.

i don't understand why economy would make this mud wimp shit. and i believe, phantasm, people like jack bauer with their attitudes make this mud a hell of a lot worse than people who take whole sets of eq.

Jack Bauer does not appreciate you talking like that about him.

You wanna know why i think its pu5sy shit? Because ive gotten on several times and logged on to both sides to see 2-3 people on each side all at a pkable level mining....i think its pretty damn retarded.

trin, can't say I've ever encountered this Jack Bauer, so I wouldn't know about his attitude ruining the MUD. I just know that I haven't had or seen a full set of dodge and/or trinks in fark knows how long and there's definitely a reason for that.
grist, to me, mining is something to do when there's no PK available. that's why I came south and started yelling at chase and locke for sitting in the mine and not PKing the other day. mining's fun and productive but this is PKMUD.

I dont know about you guys, but I find pking the same people over and over again repetative and boring. I mine when theres no pk or no real challenge in pk. Phantasm I could of pked vs you, but we would have destroyed you like we did 2-3 times. Way to stop people from mining is ring the bell, and hell, go hit mines. Its a door, scare them out or just kill them in there if you want it easy.

The Borderlands are not safe with the Darkfriend Trinity on duty.

Trading is quite fine. Jack Bauer trades all the time. He once eliminated a Darkfriend and emptied his pockets to buy himself a golden tooth. Why? Because he can. Don't be jealous of the merchants. Become one yourself!
