I├óÔé¼Ôäóve noticed that there doesn├óÔé¼Ôäót seem to be any rules on the clanning procedure and because of this, it has created some problems. Firstly, someone was clanned into Valon Guard without the consent of the clan after I had responded to the immortal├óÔé¼Ôäós post. Secondly, someone was clanned into Dreadguards after one person voted yes but the other four people hadn├óÔé¼Ôäót voted.

Now, for the first scenario the person that responded to the imm was a council member, and therefore can clan people. So, the whole point of the imm even making a post on the forum seemed weird, and the fact that I had responded saying there is no need for a vote when I├óÔé¼Ôäóm the only active member and therefore can decide for myself and yet still clanned the guy anyways is nonsensical.

For the second occurrence I├óÔé¼Ôäód simply propose that we get some clanning guidelines set down in stone. That is, 20% of the clan had voted, and this one person had voted yes, you can├óÔé¼Ôäót then go and arbitrarily select a date in which to stop the vote. Just think about if this would happen when voting for a president, using this type of logic you could stop the vote after the first vote and then McCain might have ended up president. So, don├óÔé¼Ôäót tell me my vote doesn├óÔé¼Ôäót matter because I missed the ├óÔé¼┼ôdeadline├óÔé¼┬Ø when no deadline was previously set. I├óÔé¼Ôäód appreciate it if we could get some type of rule set in place be that a week, two weeks, or whatever, that way there is no confusion in the future which is simply the solution I am seeking.

A post was made two weeks ago about clanning guidelines, unfortunately that slacker Myra and any other clan IMMs aren't devoted enough to give every second of their lives to this game and we haven't made progress.

In the end a clan immortal has the right of discretion.

Your attempts to ban a newer player from the benefits of a clan are not only counter productive to our community but it is also rather mean.

Let me clarify something right now, I have no problems with Tweak being clanned. I have a problem with an imm seemingly making up rules on the spot and not going off of any guidelines.

The clanning vote lasts for one week.

Could you please make a post on Announcements about this? And perhaps any other rules you wish to enforce in regards to clanning?

Also, to clear up a few more clanning stipulations. If people wish for clans to be a bit more selective, there needs to be a post on that clan forum so that the immortal over said clan will be able to modify how the clanning is run and the rules can also be posted by the Council of the clan on the forums for everyone else to see.

It is not the Immortals' job to make up clanning rules for each clan, but if no rules are made then it is the Immortals' job to clan people who meet the rules in place (or lack thereof).
