The cobbled road curves here around a magnificent towering keep chiseled from
dark gray stone. The keep was at one time perfectly smooth, but now pockmarks
and holes are evident from countless sieges and outright attacks.

A bend in the path to the entrance to the keep rounds the great pillar of the
Keep's guard tower. Seemingly hundreds of feet above you can see a banner wave
the sigil of the Swooping Hawk. Judging from the crowd, the entrance to the
Keep is near.

Nothing special, just a little air scythe fight. I made a couple stupid mistakes there, like the last attempt at fleeing. The failed air scythe made a pretty big difference, but I suspect the outcome would have been the same regardless. I will get you next time.

Yeah, bad luck there, although I'm not sure 1 scythe would have finished me in that particular situation... I was high crit!

The woods here become very thick again. In addition, the bear pine shrubberies
occupy almost all of the available walking space, making it next to impossible
to move around. The only available exits are those leading back to the west
and north, into less thickly spaced woods.

A Small Path in the Woods
The forest here seems less thick, the spruce and pine trees spaced further
apart. More light penetrates the branches of the encircling trees, allowing
some more visibility of the surrounding environment. Towards the west, not
much can be seen, but there seems to be some space for movement. Towards the
east, less room appears to be available to traverse, but a path can still be
carefully picked. Towards the northwest, however, the clearing is now easy to
see.

Coming off of the dirt path to the east, the terrain rises slightly. Deep
within the woods, no path can be marked to traverse further into the forest.
