I realize that the holidays have just passed, and some issues have popped up with prac mobs and whatnot, but why the lack of activity lately?
just a few weeks ago not a day went by where the high total of players for the day never dropped below 4-7. School just started back up for me, so thats why i dont play much anymore, but Jigsaw, who was on every day is now dormant. Evilina who on usually 3-4 times a week, now sleeps silently...save her horid snoring. Chase, Jack, imms (may be invis, but to my knowledge) all lay inactive...i've said it before and i'll say it again, i love playing here, and i want (as far as games i play go) nothing more than to see 40-50 people online at any given time. as it is, we can't go looking for pk, we have to set it up via msn, or log on a crossrace alt to set it up, etc. It's gotten to the point where i've gotten bored, so bored, in fact, to start a 20 20 11 thief just to see what kind of def he'll pull at lvl 50... i know people lead busy lives, hell, i'm active duty military, full time student, husband and father with another one due on 23 Jan! i'm not asking you to drop everything to play a game, but if you get some free time, i would love to set up a day where everyone logs on their most powerful alt and we have a huge massive pk fest! would be awsome to see 5 vs 5! and i think it would be a blast, so if anyone would like to see this as well, post here and we'll try to set something up.

Well..I just started school back and I'm going through recruitment right now as well as other things. My zmud trial also ran out so I'm having to wait until next week so I can actually buy the program and log back on to the mud.

I got tired of wishing imms would change to x to z so decided to hack up my own codebase.

It's easier than I expected, already added ansi, now I am working on changing the magic system to creation of spells through study (the player can pick the dice numbers and damage die) and memorization only for casting.

I recommend upgrading from C to C++ & converting the data structures to classes. Gives you far better control.

If you get anywhere let me know. I wouldn't mind checking it out. :D

You're not the first one to recommend using c++ Galnor, I bought a pretty cool book recently, Mud programming by Ron Penton. It shows step by step how to build a mud using c#. I'm probably going to scrap my current project and download nakedmud by Geoff Hollis, it's c++ with python scripting.
