It seems to me...

I've noticed lately that the more i play, the more other people play and post on forums. The less i play, the less activity there is. Lately, haven't been able to play much because finals are next week and i've been falling behind in my classes. I plan to be back around after this term, but my wife and I are expecting a newborn at the end of January so there goes my playtime again...

I can only think of one person who plays when i'm not around and that's Gross. If this mud is to grow and thrive, there needs to be several things:

A: People online all the time to help newbs to assist each other etc. Only 3 or 4 people other than myself are on semi-actively, those 3 or 4 know who you are and need to try and recruit some people to play. Stat them a char, level them, clan them, do what it takes, give them incentives.

B: Immortal support, Myra i understand you lead a busy life and can't always be there, Phoenix i know you're around as much as you can as well. But Galnor and Ravir... the creators are virtually inexistant which causes a problem...If the CREATORS aren't around, it tells me that they've given up on the mud. I dont want to see that. I've mentioned before that i prefer Kinslayer to WoTmud, but you can only have level so many chars to 50 before you start to get bored.

C: Many things need to be fixed, as mentioned in Aj's post "immediate things to be fixed" http://www.kinslayermud.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1586 many things are mentioned, I do have an imm, but only lvl 100...here's an idea, in stead of many things are mentioned, I am only lvl 100...here's an idea, in stead of fixing zones that are fine the way they are with this small of a playerbase, lets fix the broken or buggy or things that just aren't right for the gameplay.

As i've said, i love this game and i don't want to see it go down the toilet. The only way we're going to change it is if we all work together to make things right. In doing that, we can have a mud equal to WoTmud in a year or less! I hope that someone who reads this actually feels the same way i do and wants to do their part to help fix this problem. If noone cares Gal may as well just shut it down for good. There's no use keeping it up hoping that one day someone will snap their fingers and 100 people will be online at any given time of day and all the problems will be resolved. For now, i'll continue to do what i can as i can, but changing room names and descriptions south of Caemlyn sure as hell isn't going to bring more players or fix bugs, and with the lack of imms available to do so, its going to be a long time before things get fixed.

I apologise if it sounds like i'm whining and complaining, or i sound like the whole mud exists around me, but i believe wholeheartedly that this could be one of the top 10 muds out there, and i would love to see Kinslayer on that list.

Well I have been very active lately just at different times than you. Some imm or imms are paying attention to us, Easar has been changed, I killed him two days ago, hes still damn hard but doable and the DS quest mobs now repop faster.

Galnor, Myra, and Phoenix are pretty good at responding to my emails, they haven't this week leading me to believe they are busy with holiday stuff, it is that time of year ya know.

I pk heritage and alts almost everyday so he is fairly active as well.

you and Heritage were 2 of the few that i mentioned...

Responding to emails is one thing, and as i said, i know Myra leads a very busy life, Phoenix is the only other one ive seen online, Melindra hardly plays, which i can talk to her and see whats goin on.

I am only lvl 100...here's an idea, in stead of fixing zones that are fine the way they are with this small of a playerbase, lets fix the broken or buggy or things that just aren't right for the gameplay.
Easar is the only thing that got fixed... what about agelmar...guy has 6 tough mobs with him, full abs, attack AND forms with a claymore? in full abs 2 rounds against HIM ALONE had me batt on my warrior who has 439 hps... that needs to be downed... Okay, quest mobs pop faster, good, but what about tokens (i done expect them to be reimplemented) if they aren't remove the mob that trades stuff for them.

bugs need to be worked out, or remove the syntax to send you to lug.

and Serane's notice is high enough that she is very close to unstabbable, she is a non-bashable smob, and she turns your attacks around to hit you instead, making her way too difficult for the mediocre load she has more often or not.. why not down her or up the load?

I could go on for quite some time about how things could be different, better, and how successfull this mud could be, and i would LOVE to see it become so, but can't at the moment do anything more than edit rooms and and very little editing on zones, and can't do it alone.

I agree, Agelmar and Murash need to be downed, the attack I can tolerate but emote dmg with those forms is sick and the number of mobs is to much, I would put them in line with the change to easar.

As for fixing the wandering AS mob simply copy paste the olc script the AS mob in FM uses, problem solved.

Tokens need to load on a hard smob, possibly Esar, Agelmar, Murash, or possibly Dreadlords which would make them worth hitting again.
